  1. Hang-on, it's not fooking BROWN/RED, it's BLACK/RED!!! :headvswal What a prat!!
  2. Right, to save you time running a pair of new speaker wires in (But TBH that is the best bet!!) use the Brown/Red and White/Red wires that you already have (see diagram). Assumeing you have those colours that is, if not then it would be wiser to run in a new pair, it's not all that difficult. HTH
  3. Grumpy buggers!!!! ;) Hang on, give me a minute while I check the US service manual!! BRB
  4. My home made with stripes... Rear quarter view... OEM 99 JSpec...
  5. Well update your page to http://www.noradsanta.org/en/map/index.php and you'll have his flight path in real time ;) Now in Sweden
  6. Ooooo, not seen that link before. It looks very straight forward and nicely explained. Nice pictorial display as well, it should help scrawni out, otherwise if he can wait until the Feb meet then I'll hook my ConZult up for him :D
  7.  Where's that shop then?? ;) Nice one Leigh
  8. Yeah, you've got to re-wire the speakers with new speaker wire! The new head unit isnt for powered speakers. In the Bose system the individual units amplify the sound, in a normal head unit it's amped within the head unit. (Excluding pre-amp out points) As for obatining a Bose CD , sorry I cant help you on that one, never seen one. But I have got a spare Nissan CD player that hooks up to a Nissan radio tape head unit via a round five pin (I think) din plug! Don't know if it's the same fitment on the back of your old head unit?
  9. OK, I take it you're trying to install a non-Bose head unit then? Well as the Bose speakers are powered, you can't just add a new head unit, as they are setup for normal speakers and not individually powered ones. As far as I'm aware you'll need new speakers as well!
  10. I am soooo fooking pissed off!!!! In tonight! In tomorrow night (Xmas Eve) In Christmas Day night. In Boxing Day night. Then back to work at 06:00 Wednesday morning, and working right through untill New Years Eve (No, not 24 hours per day  ) Then I'm out on the town on New Years Eve, after having been up since 5am that morning!! All my mates are skint, so arnt coming out untill next weekend, but at least it'll be a good un!! ;)
  11. Are you speakers the powered Bose ones?
  12. No disrespect intended here, but that isnt the answer, it shouldn't need 'fooling'. Using the diagnostic proceedure is simple and straight forward, and will come up with a fault code that'll tell you what is wrong with the system. Then you can rectify the fault properly. The fault is either one of the sensors, the control amp modual or one of the door motors. It's just a case of which one, and the diagnostic will show you!
  13. If it's not your element, then it'll be the control stat. The stat is the controller behind the knob, it'll have a thermocouple (SP?) that runs into the oven chamber! As StellaZ has said, it's a dismantle job, you can use your multimeter to check for any resistance in the element (which there should be) if no resistance then it's fooked, if there is then it'll be the stat. Either way, your Goose is cooked this side of Christmas (Metaphorically speaking that is!!) sorry bud. Dave
  14. Have you checked out this tuturial? >> http://tutorials.photobucket.com/tutorial_6.html MPG4 is the file type from the phone
  15. Sorry bud but I'm working the day of the Jan meet, which is a shame as I could of bought the ConZult with me again as well. Havent got time at the mo, but will give you a PM later to help you out.

  17. I thought this was one of the awards at JAE??
  18. UK MOT regulations state that you MUST have a rear fog lamp fitted to cars first used on or after 1st April 1980. If yours is an import, and I'm assuming it is, then it should of had one fitted when it was first imported into the UK. All the information you should need as to where to fit/options available is in our FAQ section ...>>> http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=42161 HTH IMO -- People who drive around in thier Zeds, and do not have a rear fog lamp fitted, are crazy! People need to see you in front of them, as there is always at least one tw@ about who drives far too fast in fog, and that person might just be behind YOU!! The sooner he sees you, the sooner he can slow down!
  19. That is just TOO much info Nick!!
  20. Here you go bud, give this link a try >> http://300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=ha&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=112&design=default&total=168 It's the first page of the Trouble Diagnoses section for the Air-Con in the on-line service manual. Just click anywhere on the page for the next page to come up. Hopefully that should sort you out. Dave
