My cousin has a subaru (jap import)(tommy kaira kitted) (also more modified then my car) its a sti which has longer gear ratios and is also the equivalent to the prodrive version i think. Off the lights hed always move ahead and i live in london so there would never be enough chance for me to gain some speed on him as we would have to slow down 4 traffic. BUT then we where on the motorway and he shot by me in the fast lane so i decided to teach him a lesson as we where on my territiory. Dropped it in 4th (was doing 80mph) got in the fast lane and shot behind him and he couldint budge so i waited 4 a gap in the middle lane for me to take him (as he wouldint let me pass) and i eventually did and the way my car cruised past him was just to funny the look on his face said it all. He didnt argue with me again about the power of his car. Fas (scoobys are good cars but better left to nova boyz)

Hiya mac so i have to take the plenum off. from ur picture its basically the top part of the engine how big of a job is that. iv seen the scimatics on the courtesy website for the positions of all the hoses and there all over the ****ing place the one that is leaking and giving me the problem is the one rear of the engine. if i take the top part of the engine off will i be able to access all the hoses at the rear. Other than the hose which is behind the gearbox are there any other hoses that are diffucult to replace on the zed. My mechanic has replaced a few of the hoses on the zed from previous customers. But never all of them (hes dreading to do it actually) how much of a big job is it and roughly what am i expecting to pay him 4 labour appreciate any help u can give me Fas (im now broke but who cares i still love my zed):p

Is there any1 on here who has had these replaced at the rear of the engine bay without having to take the engine out coz from what iv seen its so tight between the engine and the bay. Itz virtually impossible to access them. Iv ordered a full 17 hose kit from courtesy and my mechanic is dreading the job as he goes its a nightmare to do it. Also theres a little hose between the gearbox which is impossible to do without the gearbox coming off he goes. Any solutions will be greatly appreciated. Fas (The zed is making me bankrupt) :( but i still love it :D

Hiya mate Sorry about this but ur the only 1 i know whos changed his turbo by pass hoses from courtesy im not gonna have any problems with the hoses due to the fact that my car is right hand drive and in america there left hand drive. (sorry if thats a stupid question but i just wanted to know) Iv ordered the whole kit (about 17 hoses in total) nissan uk asked £300 4 about 9 of the hoses (what a rip off) I ordered them on wednesday via there online order form, how long do they take. Im from kingsbury which is in north west london. Iv got a decent mechanic who knows his stuff and has never given me any problems but hes in hospital and aint coming out 4 another week. I need my car back on the road quick. How long will courtesy nissan take to deliver these pipes to my house. What about mike feeney from MJP is he gonna be cheaper then nissan uk Thanks again Fas

Hi arthur Sorry to hear about ur car. Iv had mine just over 2 and a half months now and its broken down twice on me. Both because of water hoses bursting on me. I called the AA the second time and they didnt know squat and to worsen it they cracked my greddy front bumper (which im hoping to be reimbursed 4 the damage) Im just trying to find a good mechanic to help me get it bacl on the road. i cant really c the water leak but when parked up shes still leaking water not even the AA fella could see it. Its been parked up for a week and theres no chance in hell im gonna be able to bring it to billing but iv been stuck without a car 4 a week and its starting to get to me now. Hi I needed to ask you another question about the hoses. Im gonna replace all of the hoses if i find out that the hoses are bursting. The problem being that nissan charged me £43 for 2 hoses and if i go to them again ill end up broke. Is there any1 else who can supply me with hoses who wont rip me off. And finally how much am i looking at labourwise and part wise to replace the hoses in the car roughly. Thanks again Fas (shitting himself large financially) :( :confused:

so it is probably the hoses then. The car has been parked up 4 a week now and there is little water in the radiator can i fill it up and drive it about 1/4 of a mile to my mechanic to drop it off or should i get the AA to do it. The car was parked up 4 a year is this the reason why my hoses keep splitting. should i just replace all the water hoses to stop the hassle of constantly breaking down. Cheers Fas

Just a rough question which i needed a answer 4. how many water hoses are there at the rear of the engine bay. I had to replace 2 of the heater matrix hoses and now it has sprung another leak so im clueless. i just wanted to know what it could be and what are the chances its the heater matrix. Can that actually leak water coz when the hoses burst its was steaming all over the place it was just pouring out this time and who do you recommend to go to 4 the heater matrix if it is im in london so any ideas and how much am i roughly looking at another general question how much you spent on your car so far. Just wanted to say "TOP CAR" mate hopefully ill be going wide arch 2, very soon. Another question i wanted to ask was i recently replaced two of the heater matrix hoses and the car seems to be leaking water again from roughly the same area what do you reckon it can be and where is the waterpump on the zed. the hoses replaced seem fine but the stupid AA man couldint tell squat as soon as he sow the engine bay. yeh so they took 2 hours. i had told the fella that the car has got a low bodykit and is also lowered so there gonna need to send the right recovery truck over and i also informed the telephone representitive so what do they do they send the wrong truck he was more then willing to attempt to put it on the truck with alot of diffuculty. On removing the vehicle he managed to crack my front bumper quite badly. Is there anyway i can get my money for the repairs from the AA. Need some advice Cheers Fas

My car broke down yesterday while in the city of london. Im an AA member so i called them down took 1 1/2 hour to arrive and he couldint fix the water leak (it was leaking huge amounts of water through the rear of the engine) so he ordered a tow truck which took a further 2 hours. I

first car was a old proton 1.5 mpi (yeh it was a right shitter) primera 2.0 diesal (saved me alot in fuel bills) corolla GTI (bloody fun car) and finally my 300ZX (the best car in the world)

Have u thought about importing a vehicle from japan. Quite a few of the guys on the site have and most recommend newera imports. I bought from him and cant fault him at all. Consider the money ur spending ull get a fairly new 1 with low mileage and the full works. Consider that as an option. Fas

Yeh i think the white one he told you about was my one full greddy bodykit in pearl white, 18 inch alloys, trust exhaust and a few other mods. I have to say brilliant service from miguel but again the london side of things a bit slow though. Again id recommend him to any1 very good guy and honest.

I started my car up today and about 10 mintues later my temp gauge went all funny it started bouncing up and down. It didnt go higher then the middle but it went up and down quite crazily it was like it was just shooting up and down and then it would stop doing it. I checked the water and it was fine, so i carried on driving and throughout the day it would do the same on and off. I took it to my local mechanic and he said its probably some sort of electric problem iv got the car booked in with an auto electrician and he says its either 3 things the gauge itself, corroded wiring (or bad earth) or faulty temp sensor. I just wantet to know if any1 else has had a similar problem and whats the best thing to do. Fas (its a pain when it breaks down but "OH SO GOOD" when its not)

nah they didint charge me 4 it which was honest of them 2 say thats why i recommend them very nice people
