  1. Update to the karma sutra The plumber position: You both stay in all day, but nobody cums.
  2. Another way of looking at the logo:

  4. So what do you all make of the symbol for the Olympic Games? More to the point, what do you see? Need some help? Look below (hope this works) :x:
  5. Thanks for the diagram – I had already found and downloaded that. In the user's manual for the new Blaupunkt there are two pages of info: Not quite sure what you mean by a "wire loom section to go into this socket" – but there were no plugs, or sections of wire enclosed with the unit :( So this is an ISO connector? Row of five double pins? This plugs into the old unit at the top right, so you are telling me that Blaupunkt used to have ISO connectors, but now don't. I notice that the unused middle socket is the same on both units – could this be what the salesman was talking about? That would appear to be the speaker outputs – on the new unit, at least. But aren't the other cables on the far left in this pic not also an earth connection – why a separate one for this brown cable? Or are those those on the left the power supply??? (You must realise that I don't know my arse from my elbow wrt car electrics :p ) Thing is, the new unit also has a similar big pole to attach those ring connectors to – and that has a big E next to it, so I assumed that it was an earth on both units??? Old unit: New unit Do you think the lower right socket has the same purpose on both units, so that I can just swap this over? It would appear to include the auto electric aerial activation signal (at A5 on the wiring diagram). Trouble is, the old unit's user's manual, most helpfully  , does not include any wiring diagram or such info. Any guesses which wires go where and to which sockets they should go on the new one? Close up of old unit: A few more questions: The wires that are in these connectors – are they just a push fit and held by an internal spring? Can I just pull them out if I want to fit them into a different socket? Surely there should be an adaptor if that is an ISO socket, so that I can go from ISO to whatever that new at the top on the Blaupunkt is? I can see that this is going to end up costing lots of time, effort and, most probably, money!
  6. Thanks, but I'm just wondering exactly what connector I need though. The one on the car fits onto the top socket on the old Blaupunkt, so what type of connector is that – I would need to know to get an ""X" to ISO" adaptor? Also, isn't that separate brown lead for the automatic electric aerial? The new unit doesn't have the same connector, so that will have to be wired into the socket, so it's certainly no simple "bang an adaptor on and you're sorted" type of problem... I knew it wouldn't be as simple as it should be :(
  7. I had a search, but couldn't find an answer. Maybe it's so simple that nobody else needs to ask... My Z has an old Blaupunkt Bremen radio-casstte head unit with a 10CD changer in the boot. The cables to the changer burnt out after a hot track session and I decided that was the cue to bin the changer and get a new head unit. To keep it simple (I hoped  ) I stuck with Blaupunkt. I was worried that the connectors might be different, but the cocky kid in the electronics superstore assured me they were the same – just unplug the old, plug in the new. So, finally, I found time to do this. Pull out the old and see straight away that they are NOT the same. Why am I not surprised? Furthermore, the old unit has a brown cable going to a separate push-on connecter and I can't see where this should go in the new unit. Pic of the car's connector to the old unit: Back of old Blaupunkt with separate brown connector: Back of new one with completely different sockets: Can anyone tell me what to do? Is the old one not ISO? What adaptors do I need? Thanks!
  8. It's just a Hyundai! Or is it a VW? Not so sure now... Japanese??? :D
  9. Those are just the "Concept" pics. 'Fraid the real thing is not very nice: >XF = extremely fugly
  10. No probs on a G4 Powerbook or G4 iMac (both on Camino* – so quick and neat – and you can import all your bookmarks from other browsers). * http://www.caminobrowser.org/
  11. Thanks for the tip. Registered. Will get the PS3 when they release GT4's successor :) Till then PS2 and a Wii will do.
  12. Pity I'm not nearer. Which kit do you use and where do you site it?
  13. Ah, I see – so it has to go in the door. Obvious when you think about it, I suppose. Can imagine it is fiddly. No-one on here actually done that to their Z? Would like to any advice they might have :)
  14. Did a search, but couldn't find an answer to this: My 1993 Swiss 2+2 TT manual has key operated central locking. Is there a simple aftermarket kit available to convert to remote locking? I suppose it only has to send a signal to a receiver wired into the existing hardware, so it shouldn't be such a big job (I don't need an alarm system combined with the central locking, so don't need door sensors, etc. wiring in). Don't suppose that it being lhd makes any difference... Anyone know of one that is suitable and who might supply them?
  15. Create your own "wanted" identikit picture. Always wondered how easy it would be if asked to describe someone by choosing their features such as nose, eyes, lips, etc. for opne of these things. Try doing yourself:p >clicky
  16. I used the Porterfield carbon-kevlar R4-S pads from Smithy. Far, far better on the road – no probs if you have to do several highspeed decelerations (german autobahns) whereas, with the stock pads, you could feel they were fading quickly under heavy use. The trade-off with slightly less initial bite when cold is really not a problem. However, on track you would need more. Could only do a few laps then let it all cool. Finally stayed out too long and cooked 'em  If you're serious about it, I reckon bigger, vented (cross-drilled, grooved) discs, multipot-callipers and better cooling (ducting, or perhaps the bigger, open wheels would help enough) are necessary. I decided it was too much hassle to upgrade the ZX for reasonable track use, so use a different car instead.
  17. True, but if you read the links I posted above, it explains see why they should really be called "cold weather tyres" rather than winter tyres. Makes a BIG difference at low temperatures. For ice, you'd need spikes – but you can't use them on a normal road. For snow, you really need chains – especially for down hills.
  18. Nope. That's a common misconception in the UK. In fact, as soon as the ambient temperature drops below 7°C, even on clear asphalt, you have better grip (= better braking, better steering, less fishtailing) on winter tyres. From this winter, in Germany, you would get done in such an accident for having inappropriate tyres = big fine and insurance won't pay even the third party claims as you are deemed to hgave been grossly negilgent! In Switzerland, where I am, it is not mandatory to have winter tyres in winter, but you could still be in trouble if you used summer tyres and had a smash. Have a look >here >here and >here :)
  19. If he'd hit one of my kids instead of that post, I'd have torn his head off. No excuse for travelling at that speed (must be 70+mph) in that situation, though I would have nothing against maxing out the car on an unrestricted, quiet German autobahn. Nothing wrong with speed itself – just inappropriate speed. I won't say an idiot like that should be locked up and the key thrown away, but certainly someone that irresponsible should get a lifetime driving ban on the basis that he accepted and blatantly, even deliberately as he was clearly in on the filming, chose to ignore the fact that he was causing a real and very significant threat to the lives of others around him. Could even be construed as attempted manslaughter.
  20. Main thing is no-one was hurt (apart, perhaps, from pride). Front-engined, rwd, high-powered cars are not the best choice for slippy conditions – even with winter tyres (which no-one in the UK uses) Don't drive mine once winter really gets a grip. Good to see how tough they are though. Best of luck with getting a replacement :)
  21. >not at all extrovert and completely normal! :p
  22. do with it that matters" "...normally one feels shy to go to a chemist's shop and ask for a smaller size condom." Surely the answer is obvious. For the Indian market, re-pack small-sized ones as "medium/normal" (or "large" if you want to be clever) and normal-sized ones as "XL / Jumbo". That way everyone is happy – including the women – if you believe the intro claim :p
  23. Pratting about on a PC? I wish I could prat about like that! Looks to me like he is putting in highlights, etc. because he has an eye for it. I don't believe the fact that he is doing it with a graphic tablet on a PC monitor instead of with a pencil on drawing paper makes it easier. It still demands the knowledge of how to do it. Put it this way, if it's so easy, let's see what everyopne else can do! :p Personally, I know I could try for a week and not get anyhwere near that sort of result.
  24. Amazing eye for details. How do you get that good – can you learn or is it a given ability? Awesome either way.
