Japfest, Saturday May 21st 2005, Castle Combe, Wiltshire Similar to last year the Z Club, 300ZX and 350Z forums are combining forces to put on one of the biggest displays of Z cars. Japfest was launched in 2003 and has gone from strength to strength. The event comprises of a gathering of Japanese car clubs, track action throughout the day, over 50 trade stalls, tuning and styling firms, a mobile rolling road, a cars for sale area and much more. This is not a “show car” stand and your car doesn’t have to be pristine. This is just a chance to park up together, meet friends new and old and enjoy the show. Entrance tickets are only £7 per person. You will need to obtain your ticket from me so I can supply a vehicle pass for the Club area. On the day prices £12 per person with parking in general car park :cry: There will be a Zed only track session costing £19.25 per car. This made an amazing sight last year with Zeds tearing around the circuit. We almost a complete set of all the different Z cars – maybe this year :dance: I have only booked one slot but you can buy extra sessions direct from the organisers for £23. If enough people are interested I will purchase another Z dedicated track session. Need to know this ASAP. Hope you can all make it, please do not leave ordering tickets/passes until the last few weeks, (that includes you Speedfreak!!) I had some very disappointed people last year. Just a quick note to say to those that have e-mailed me "I haven't forgotten you" I'm at home dying of a cold and the magazines/envelopes/stamps etc are at work so am not able to post them out yet. Great Z Club Christmas Give Away I have a limited number of the Winter edition of the Z Club magazine to give away. This new issue includes full reports on the Japfest meet with 46 Z cars in attendance, The Back to Basics Weekend at Oultern Park to watch the Zs racing, the first Z club Swapmeet weekend, full details of the club's members involvement with their cars in the making of Jeremy Clarksons DVD, results from the HSSC Championship and from the Z Club's own Drag Race Challenge 2004 and much much more. Hello all Wondering if anyone is going to Le Mans 2005? There are a few of us from the Z Club going and we are planning to meet up for a burn up.........sorry drive on the Friday lunchtime around the circuit, then after the pit lane walk in the evening getting together for a few beers. Anyone want to join us? Also Sean is organising a weekend before Le Mans, this is roughly what we propose Friday 10 June Welcome BBQ at site approx. one hour south of Le Mans (mobile homes for rent or you can camp) loire-holidays Sat 11 Zed Track Day day near Nantes followed by evening (cine-scenie) at Puy du Fou Sun 12 chill out/horse riding/ boule competition/swimming/drinking Mon 13 day visit to Grand Parc du Puy du Fou Tue 14 karting on an International Karting track http://www.boca-speed.com /touristic drive up to Le Mans and camp Wed 15 tour around Le Mans - evening practice and qualifying Thurs 16 tour around Le Mans - evening practice and qualifying Fri 17 Go out for a drive of the circuit followed by Pit walk, meet up for drinkies in the village afterwards Sat / Sun race Mon drive home I am in the process of costing this, people who are interested should drop either Sean seanz@wanadoo.fr or me suzy.huntley@bristol.ac.uk a line. You will need to sort out your own entrance and camping tickets for Le Mans (you need to do this very soon!!) but we will sort the rest. Track day 5th of November Hullavington Airfield Circuit, This track day is being run by http://www.Motorsport-events.com and will be held at Hullavington Airfield, which is 2 miles off J17 of the M4 near Chippenham, Wiltshire. You get lots of track time and the whole day is run really well. The price is £99 for the all day If you are interested you have to ring up, book and pay in advance or go to the site and print out a booking form and post a cheque off to them. Z Club Meeting Second hand and new parts sale/car show/social gathering Blidworth, Nottinghamshire Saturday and Sunday 11th/12th September 2004 Alot of members in the Z Club missed the autojumble that has been at JAE, Billing in the past so Derek Sulley has kindly responded and has organised a meeting near Blidworth, Nottinghamshire on the 11th/12th September 2004. This will be a social gathering for Zed owners to show their cars, exchange ideas and views, sell or swap second hand or new parts. All are invited, second hand traders, new parts men or if you are just cleaning out your garage (Zed parts ONLY please) but we need some idea of numbers so any traders interested can they get in touch. We will be charging a fee of £10 per pitch to cover our costs, if you are just selling a set of wheels we will take this into account! Venue JG Dog Sanctuary On the B6020 between Blidworth and Rainworth (East of Mansfield) Approx. 10 minutes from M1, junction 26 30 minutes from A1 Newark via A617 or A1 Worksop via A614 The site Almost level 1.5 acres of mowed grass field surrounded by a 2m high chain link fence with a padlocked gate. The land is sandy and well drained. Access is suitable for caravans and small vans. There are two clean toilets and disabled faculties. Both Blidworth and Rainworth are about 10 minutes walk and have pubs, restaurants and take aways. The owners of the land are a registed charity and the Z Club will be making a small donation for the use of the land. New Show for Z Club. Sheffield Festival of Transport is on JUNE 27th at Graves Park in em Sheffield!! The little band of Heart of England members of the Z Club are going to this show and would like to invite you. The organizers are looking for more cars to attend, so why not come along? Give Geoff/Linda Price a call on 01922 643385 as soon as possible to get a ticket/entry. Tell them you are going on Heart of England Z group stand. Then post on here so we can keep a space for you. So get that Zed out and come and join us, we're nice people really!!!

Don't worry too much Phil, just turn up and there will be room, between the 300ZX and the Z club stand we will find you a spot! I managered to get 45 cars into a 35 car stand at the Japfest, anything is possible!!

If coming from the car parks, find the Strawford Centre (funny building with a marquee on the top of it, this is also where the track briefing takes place), stand with back to the Strawford centre, walk away from the track we will be the other side of the traders.
