either way is ok to have the grooves but the way peter has his is the best way as it cuts into the pads so it brakes better, the pads dont last quite as long but you get better brakes :) Mike

box wise the z32's choices are very limited you can fit an os giken gear set and strengthened centre plate for around £2500-£3000 you can get a ppg dog cut gear set for around £3000 other than that if you wanted to go 6 speed and sequencial then your looking at between £8k to £15k, they guys at RB Motorsports said they could make a os giken 6 speed seq box fit the zed with a little work and its one of the best boxes you can get but your talking around £9k ish hollinger do a good box for around £7k and you can buy via jun a fitting plate. also on top of these your talking a £2k clutch to match up to either box :) also spoke to a guy near silverstone who specialises in building gearboxes and could make a box for around £15k with your own choice of gears and he guarantees it for upto 2000 bhp LOL Mike

if i remember rightly he has built the engine on that, he used to come on here when he was building it. also its make belief power, as was discussed at the time there no way those turbos will make that power ;) i think around 500 rwhp is about right for the 16g kit. with regards to the engine all depends on how good your engine is but i would say 400-450 will last a while but will pop a piston eventually, anymore and it will go fairly quickly Mike

number 5 is obviously the weak one and the ring is letting gasses through but ive seen lower, i would run it until it goes, you could get a month, you could get years out of it like that Mike

yeh have seen that, they already do a 800 bhp gtr with upgraded turbos and are developing a 1000 bhp but the weak area is the gear box so there working on a new box for it :) Mike

i would go as far as to say no matter what the turbos fitted on a true road with bends a 911 would beat the zed, dont get me wrong it would beat most other cars as well ;)

difference is the older one in standard form will still do the 1/4 mile time LOL a zed would be in pieces but that age LOL even a 600+bhp zed would never run low 3s in the 0-60 where a standard porka can, they are a beast of a machine and can be used everyday which makes them a true achievement. as i said most porka drivers are old so cant drive ;) give me a new 911 turbo and i guarantee i would embarras 99.9% of all zeds saying that i would rather have a new gtr :)

sorry but they are very quick and you would need alot more power to beat one in a straight line and round twisties it would leave you for dead!! more likely with a 100k car is they dont use it to its max but those new 911 turbos have vcc turbos which spool at around 1800 revs so they are stupidly quick. have you spoken to the new tax help line? we did and there really really helpful at the moment, we owed about £7k in taxes and ni and they suspended it for 12 months and even then you can pay in instalments?? not sure if that helps but well worth trying Mike

technically 3 full turns is as strong as a nut gets anyway so putting one on a few mm shorter is not a problem pete :) Mike

yeh there like the replacement for them, slightly bigger and newer technology so they boost a little quicker and make more power but the 2530 is a great turbo and one of the most reliable around :) Mike

as its been said, either replace your new chip with the oem one or see if anyone near you with a zed can lend you their ecu for 5 minutes to try it. other than that just have a scan round the engine bay to see if any pipes are off that may have been disturbed when fitting the boost controller Mike

sorry but sounds like the mapper didnt have a scooby doo mate as the aem is one of the best ecu's around, i know loads of people who run massive power with the aem, my zed ran perfectly with the aem?? also i believe that link do not do an ecu for the zed but can make another one work which is where you get issues, if its not purpose built for the zed then steer clear bud ;) Mike

exactly, we have always gone the extra mile for our customers and thats why most of our work is from recomendations but this woman takes the pi55. tbh if we could remove the flooring without damaging it and reuse is i would be there now ripping it up but it would just damage the flooring and the plywood is ring nailed down which is a bitch to uplift LOL

Did a job for a woman last week, she wanted amtico throughout her new flat so we did the hall, kitchen/dining/living room and bathroom and it looked stunning and she is very please with it. She also wanted carpet in her bedroom but never decided on the carpet until mid last week so i ordered it and it comes in this friday. Gets a call on friday the day she moves in to say why have we not put a door back on or the kitchen plinths, i explained to her that i had already told her than she would need to get the house builders to trim them as they had been cut to the floor boards!! but she played the "poor little old lady on her own" trick so i went there on saturday and trimmed them all, i even plumbed in her washing maching to help her out. Anyway gets a call today from her saying she does not want her carpet done by us anymore as she feels let down as it wasnt done last week??? WTF and to cover the costs of getting someone else in to do it she has cancelled the cheque :mac1: I'm sooooo mad, we have gone out of our way for this woman and she's trying to rip us off, christ sake we were doing the carpet on friday and she cant wait 2 days :rolleyes: I know we can sue her but its the hastle and the job was bloody hard work AND this is the job is tw@tted my thumb on so i'm not a happy bunny.
