Brakes it is mate!!

Still like the wheels, but i must be getting old because i think it looked better before!!:p i guess i just prefer a car to look like it was meant to, some body mods look good but i think too many ruin the car. Still major respect for doing it though fas it takes guts to let someone loose with a grinder to your zed for all the custom mods. Saying that i think it needs to be seen when finished before final opinions!! I think i will go back to school and give my job up so i can afford to complete my zed;) :rofl: Kirbz

I read the other day that there is a law on how high speed bumps can be?? the local council had to pay for repairs because a speed bump was too high. Might be worth checking Kirbz

Hi Stu Ive had 265's on my old zed no problems and i know a few people who have 275's on them. Let me know how much your paying for them, it might be worth a little trip up to lancaster cos i can get tyres etc pretty cheap. Cheers Kirbz

I agree Alex, thats why if your going to go down that route you need to have someone who has all the right equipment and more importantly know what there doing, the place i am going to to map my car knows the emanage really well and takes about 2-3 hours to map it properly. Hows your zed at the mo alex?? Kirbz

The emanage takes over all the fueling etc from the standard chip so you can set it or get it mapped by someone, i got mine from getgreddy as he's about the cheapest, not a bad bloke either:D I think for the money you cant beat it. Kirbz

Hi Mate There are many different chips from a off the shelf chip like JWT etc or a custom chip from SE, the next one (which i did) is a piggy back ecu, i got the greddy e-manage and you can plug the old laptop in and change it and the last one is a full replacement ecu which costs alot more but is more reliable so it all comes down to cost. Thats why i went for the greddy as its only £300-400 which you can pay for a decent chip anyway!!! Cheers Kirbz

Well my mechanic (dad!!) is still convinced that if its done properly then the metal HG will be better?? Will a standard one work with alot of power?? Also if i choose to run alot of power and a metal HG will only last for 2 years or so then great...i only wish the other components will last that long:D Ive bought them now so i might as well try them Kirbz

you WILL regret it if you sell her, take it from me i sold my last one because i have a company car and i really didnt need the zed but after you drive a boring company car for 2000 miles a week you need something different at the weekends. It took me 2 months to buy another zed;) dont regret it even though she is in a thousand bits!! Kirbz

Just got out of a meeting with the regional director and what a u-turn, the Liverpool branch is staying open:confused: but hey what the hell i dont care i get to keep my job:dance: thank god, what a relief and nice christmas prezzie. Well thats worrying cos i have a 2mm greddy head gaskets to put on my rebuild!!??:( On the other hand surly major car tuners like HKS, Nismo and greddy wouldnt make the metal head gaskets if they didnt work:confused: Kirbz
