jonnyz32 has fitted some evo brakes and made his own fitting plates up so may be worth asking him ;)

Skyline brakes are the easiest upgrade as there just bolt on to the existing hub holes using existing bolts or is you get some R34 then you need slightly bigger bolts and they go for between £400 and £700 for the R34 ones The EVO calipers tend to go for around £300 but as said above you need to fabricate some hub adaptors. If its the easy option then its got to be the skyline option Mike

of course if you want to get some serious stopping power then you need some serious brakes :D Mike

Ferodo pads and brembo discs IMHO Ferodo pads are about the best money can buy or if not them then EBC Red stuff ones are also good

in my past experience i had the same thing and tried to "sort" things but eventually i stopped being nice and said no more and pointed to the door and said if you dont like it leave. all stopped and been happy ever since.....well as happy as you can be getting it once a month on your usual married sex licence ;)

TDI North Theres only a few HKS power writers in the country and these are in warrington. Seem a good set of lads and not cowboys so will stick with for now :)

yeh around 22 psi ish turbos will go more but your talking about running race fuel but i'm not going that far

I give up :( We live on a really nice newish estate which used to be classed as one of the most sort after places in morecambe not anymore We have had gypsy problems for a few years now as they bought loads of houses near by as they had loads of land with them and then came millions of caravans!! so more so in summer we have loads of problems with the kids cutting through our estate causing trouble So just got off the phone to the planning department to find out that theres 4 applications in all within 250 yards of my house 2 of which to knock the existing house down and build new houses with caravans in the grounds, 1 to clear a house and along with the land turn it into a full gypsy caravan park and the last one is a full park again which has already been agreed. So my house had already suffered in price and has prob lost around 20k but as this is about to go public next week means our houses are pretty much worthless and near impossible to sell :confused: :( Wheres some petrol i'm going caravan burning and if anyone asks i was with you ;) A pi55ed off Kirbz

it was mapped upto about 1.4 bar but before i started blasting it about i had it checked and it was running very lean even on low boost due to it being on a jap map but unfortunatly the fcon pro allows the mapper to password his map so unless you know it and most people dont give it out then your stuffed!! if we did know it it would have just been a case of tweaking the existing map and adding fuel and about an hour on the dyno but because we couldnt we had to wipe out the ecu and start again which causes its own problems because...... Guess which is the only car HKS dont have a base map for???? you guessed it the 300zx :confused: but luckely i knew of someone who had an fcon mapped in this country so got in touch with his tuner and they kindly gave us all the sensor settings to give us a starting point as the FCON is a generic ECU so it needs all the factory setting changine to suit the car hence you need the HKS base map. This was fine and we mapped it to 5000 revs last week but ran out of time so went back to finish it off yesterday but then had the problems above but touching wood we now have the right base settings to fully map the car up to its full potencial :D Mike

Took the beast back to get the mapping finished today so i should be writing to say how much power she produced and how happy i am but For some reason couldnt map it!? was cutting out at 5000 revs and had us all scratching our heads for 3 hours changing settings?? So just before 7pm and about to give up the mapper tried changing the MAP sensor setting we had been given for the car and sorted :) unfortunatly means we have to remap the whole map from the start but at least we will be able to do the whole map and actually run some boost now :D But at 7000 revs running no boost i did get 224 rwhp :rofl: Be nice to run some decent boost :hyper: Mike

Its pretty simple V6 = hard to work on lol Straight 6 = everything is on one side :)

Well speaking from personel experience, i sold my zed just over a year ago and bought a big power supra, great car well built but the car i got had doubts so i sold it on, then bought a 450 bhp R33 GTR again fab car out handles the zed with ease but still a big car and always thought it needed more power for the size of it!! the car was lovely but got soooo much attention, got crowds of people gather round it where ever i went and i looked into going to the next power level and it would cost £££££'s so got offered a decent power R32. So bought that and had 600BHP very fast, handled very well and IMHO was the best car i have had for a "all in one" car but its ugly and i could never bring myself to love it :) so got made a silly offer so it went and there was only one car i wanted again and it was another zed. Says it all really been there had them all gone back to a zed and dont regret it Mike
