Any electricians in here ....info needed plz
can of worms this job's gonna be:blink: Think my earth is gonna need sorting too just read that bridging bonds need fixing over any breaks like plastic push fits etc.(something I didn't think of when I put a push fit isolator valve in) I know I have one of those that needs doing also don't think the cable is big enough from the pipes to the board it needs to be 6mm I believe. I'll do what I can then get someone in to change the board.

Any electricians in here ....info needed plz
That's a good idea fella all the lights in the house are low energy we have no traditional type bulbs at all so consumption is very low on those circuits. I'm also gonna at least change all the fuses for breakers if not get the whole box done. What would a spark charge to change ie. just to fit a new distboard with an isolator/breaker built in?

Any electricians in here ....info needed plz
I think they are all lights 1 per floor...3 floor house will have to check

Any electricians in here ....info needed plz
what would a spark charge to change the dist board to a new one do you think? If I run the cable in place ready then he can wire that too whilst he's here

Any electricians in here ....info needed plz
So if I got someone in to just install the 100A isolator in place of the 60A one that's there along with a new second dist board would I then be able to add the SWA cable at a later date myself or would a reg'd spark have to do that too? cheers Allan

Any electricians in here ....info needed plz
I have a distribution box that has no spare fuse terminals they are all being used. I have just ordered some SWA 6mm2 cable to wire my garage up is there any way without changing the whole box? Can I add another smaller fusebox alongside the existing one? I did domestic electrical installation at gsce level about 22 years ago on day release from school but things change including regualtions and my brain. Cheers for any help, here's a pic

fleabay to remove forced P&P charges
they only do it so they get more commission via the FVF thieving twats. Games and dvd's you only get free p&p. I just list it in another category still sell the same and at the same price and you get hit by less ebay selling fee.

driver fined for blowing his nose
my escort got stolen and the police weren't interested prob little bit difficult for them to solve I guess. As usual the motorist gets nailed as he's readily traceable and nice bit of PR for the police that. His boss at the station should *****cked the crap out of him

wheel nut problem?
mine were fine with standard wheel nuts many peeps on here running the same rims. I did have to use a spark plug socket(very slim one) to tighten them though as a normal wheel brace was far too wide to fit in the bolt recess

Battery for zed, where and how much?

Battery for zed, where and how much?
What are good batteries? Mine went flat as car hasn't been out for a few months due to snow etc. Tried charging it but the red light stays on instead of turning green(had it on charge for about 12 hrs). Don't want to risk a half duff battery shagging the alternator up. So what battery is good value for these motors and how much do they cost?

stolen car recovered... neeed info about insurance
Third party only is the cover but I also pay my insurance for direct line rescue which I told the police when I reported it. I could have probably used my rescue cover to fetch the car as the steering column casing and lock was bust off it wasn't burnt out or anything and is apparently drivable. Instead the police have a contract with # & # motors to recover vehicles. I am so fecked off. The tw@ts that stole it had a free ride home and were probably pissed too as there were a good few empty beer cans around near when my car was taken. They will never be caught as the police have had no dealings with forensics on the car or anything. Myself on the other hand who pays tax, insurance and service costs to keep it roadworthy will be out of pocket by about £700 by the end of tommorrow. This countries laws are so wrong. If it were in Texas i could have shot the f#ckers had I seen them and probably not even been grilled too badly by the police.
