Hi guys. ive got a few problems as the title suggests!! First off im getting a burning oil smell after driving for a while. checked on ramp and only oil leak i had was with the driver side turbo oil return. ive since changed the gasket but still got smell. Annoying!! Next since fitting my apexi induction kit ive been getting a whining noise from the engine bay. may be coincidental but could this be worn turbos? There is absolutely no smoke when cold, when warm or when under heavy boost. ive also got boost jets and my stock gauge reads over 14psi which ive heard is normal due to stock gauge bein pants!! but recently ive noticed what seems to be a power decrease. it just doesnt FEEL as fast. Could it be my auto box? when o/d is off it feels better but this might all be in my head! hopefully someone can tell me whats wrong as its doing my head in. im the most pernickitiest person in the world. not good for a z owner!! thanks in advance

All fixed guys!! got one from nissan, done the old dremel technique and now running sweet as a nut. Thing is i was away looking at a skyline when my car was running fine, then when i got back it started misfiring!! She must not want me to sell her hahaha!!

Forget previous message!! car wasn't warmed up yet! Doh!! I've ran a multimeter over offending cylinders injector. After a lot of cleaning I finally got a reading of 2.odds ohms. Other side has 0.13 so I'm guessing knackered injector? Anyone got a spare one? Cheers

The timing seems to have moved to almost 30 tdc. No matter how hard I hit it the bloody thing won't go back the way! Help.

Cheers, spoke to Jamie at Zworld and he said it's very coincidental that my injector gies the day after adjusting timing. So going to check ptu and the injector ohmage tonight.

Hi sandy mate. I've been staying with my gf in denny and using her car cos she works beside me in Cumbernauld. I'm seriously contemplating selling her! Interested? Haha. I'm scared to drive it when it's misfiring, will it not cause any damage?

i think i may need a new injector or im thinking of selling her :no:. I recently set my timing to 15 tdc and the next day i had a misfire. its coming from the passenger side front cylinder. check plugs and coils and all fine. swapped over etc. when i took off that injector wire engine stays the same. so im guessing its the injector, tried cleaning up the connections but still the same. im starin to get sick of sorting stupid wee problems out!!

id be happy to spend the money if i get it 100% fixed. its the only thing wrong with the car. Albeit it could be a huge "only thing"!! Its mechanically sound and goes well, its been really well looked after. The guy basically said i should get rid of it because itll keep coming back. but you know what z's are like, you get attached to them so easily!! If anyone can shed a light on why it it corroding or how to stop it permanantly im all ears.

I think i badly need a new osr arch. there was a bit of bubbling coming through it and i took it to alocal shop to have it looked at. he said hed cover it up for £200. sounded great, but there is bubbles appearing already, (5 days after picking it up). He said there was lots of filler and rust there already and id really need a new arch. i saw that there used to be some repair panels that are no longer available is this correct? if so how the :censored: do i get an arch?

sorry to ressurect an old thread! i average around 20mpg no matter how i drive!! 240 miles out of a full tank. mine is a tt uk auto with zedworld chip japseed cat back and apexi filter. im happy enough with that!

i have literally just changed my starter today. it was the bearings in the starter that were worn. i was worried it was the ring gear too but it was just the starter. ps the part number for a blue print one is adn11255.

i know its a bit cheeky but was just wondering. its a great car!
