If you can find an R or an S reg that's been driven like a saint then fair play. Chances are though it will of been driven like a :xxx: Many of the earlier Subarus suffered with a weak block as Andy has mentioned. You'll see many advertised as having had new engines from 45k onwards. So if you buy a thrashed example with less than this on it's first engine you take your chances. Don't get me wrong I love the Impreza, in fact I own one but if you've got a Z you like and you're going to trade down to such an old Impreza I'd stick with the Z. You're only going to end up with £1500 in your sky rocket anyway.

Looks like you've had a bag of sand open in the drivers foot well. Didn't your mother tell you to clean your car before you sell it? :)
  4. Don't think it affected 2142 as my stats have changed accordingly. I was top rank anyway but my gunship kills have been going up.
  5. I think the biggest problem you are going to encounter is that you are dealing with 2 different companies. If you had bought it from a garage and they were the ones fitting the engine I think you would have a case to have the warranty extended. Under the current circumstances, and I'm reading between the lines here, I think you might struggle to get the original party to extend the warranty as the repair is out of their hands. In addition the garage repairing the car will only be interested in faults that occour as a direct result of their work. I'd drop Citizens advice an email and they will be able to speak to someone who can tell you exactly where you stand within UK law. Email them though because going to see them in person is a painful process :) I hope you get some satisfaction one way or another cos I hate to see people, especially club members being f#*ked about. Jonno.
