Insurance!!!!!
Look into a traders policy. I'm 20 and me and my dad pay £1000 a year and that entitles me to drive any car i like, however it is third party only, but that does'nt really matter as our cars are only worth a few grand each.

buying my first z
I have had 4 jap twin turbo autos, 3 of which where spot on (including the current one), with no gearbox problems at all, the other one however would not go into top gear, so i got rid of it as it needed the box reconditioning. All i can say is when buying properly check the gearbox, make sure you get out onto some open road and open it up make sure it kicks down ok, make sure it changes smoothly etc..... And it will be ok, i got ripped off because i did'nt get chance to take it out and get it into top gear. My dad has a manual n/a and even though it does'nt have the power of a twin turbo it is still more fun to drive than an auto. Also in regards to UK or Jap - Jap everytime, as you are pretty much guaranteed no rust whereas UK ones are rusty beggars, unless they have been garaged, i looked at a UK one and i could of put my hand through the rear wheel arch it was that bad, i have never come accross an import with rust issues! Just be very diligent and check everything, make a list before you go or print out the buying guide from this site.

polished plenium
I'v not done it myself but i'm pretty sure a polished plenum, is just your existing plenum 'chromed'. So the only difference it should make is the appearance.

HID Fitting
Hiya Dan, missed the bloody postman this morning, but i can get it from the sorting office this afternoon, so that won't be a problem, and i will get the old one to you once i'v fitted the replacement. As for wiring like i said it just reaches, a bit more wire would make it easier to hide the wiring, thats all. :p I'm happy with it anyway, cheers dan.

I dont usually do this But
I think the last picture makes it look great.

HID Fitting
Cheers again guys, under the headlight panel has worked great, the wires only just make it though - but they do make it and they are not stretched, the comment about 2-3 inches extra - seconded. lol

side indicators.
Have you already taken the wing indicators out - can you not just put them back.
-
side indicators.
Very true, a lot of modern cars are going for indicators in the wing mirrors, as long as you have some side indicators you'll be ok, as it is a legal requirement.

HID Fitting
Thanks everybody for the help, i have managed it now, i have done what Paul@SWZ said, the brackets are perfect for fitting to existing holes under the nose panel. I did'nt think the nose panel would fit again which is why i did'nt want to at first but the panel fits just fine and its an aftermarket panel aswell. Anyway thanks again guys, appreciate it. :p

HID Fitting
It is one from DTA, and to be honest i can't figure out where under the panel i could put them, and where to thread the wires through? Does the bumper have to come off to take headlights out?

HID Fitting
Where on earth do people mount the ballasts, do i have to take the whole headlamp out or something???
