It says no reading from sensor?

Had the car on conzult and its showing no reading from the o/s o2 sensor, is this likely to be the sensor broken or dodgy wiring? The car is going for a MOT soon, will this cause it to fail due to emissions?

Defo not true on wifes car and your right people look at you gone off if you pull the hose across the back of the car but tough siht I say- why do I want to wait 10 minutes cos everyone else is waiting for one set of pumps and ignoring the others!

Well after some last minute advice from members regarding the last hoses the car was ready to start with the tempoary engine. So I turn the key and..... 2 turns, a puff of soot out of the exhausts and..... Into life she fires :D :hyper: It's the 1st time I've ever heard her run, I bought the car in June as a non-runner with what turned out to be a blown engine, hasn't been run for over 12 months. Ok she sounds a bit rough but some adjustmets, conzult and fixing a blow from the exhaust and she should be there. It means I might finally get to drive a 300 for the 1st time!

Ok, the only thing I think I may of done then is - The overflow for the rad, is there meant to be a hose coming of that? if so I might of put that on the fitting below which could be meant for the oil hose? hence why I have no where to fit it to.

I have a JDM 2+2 Auto TT. I have put a new engine in and I am ready for the start up except one hose! From a previous post it seems maybe only certain models have this hose. Below the alternator by the metal bar across the under side of the car there are two metal pipes facing the front of the car. One hose from these goes to the bottom of the rad on the passenger side and carries water. The other is an oil hose, it is about 1 1/2-2ft long with a '?' shape at the end and is about -10mm bore. Now I have filled the oil in the car it does leak oil if not blocked off. Does anybody know where it should fix to?? I can't find anywhere and it is the only thing stopping me trying to start the newly fitted engine :headvswal

Hi mate, just looked, the one 3/4 is already done and about 8-10mm and doesn't come from the same place. It also is carrying oil not water?

Just below the alternator there are two metal pipes next to each other about 10mm. The hose off one goes to the rad just above the main bottom rad hose. The other one is the mystery but think it is oil return from somewhere??

I've almost finished fitting the engine in, just oil/water to do and... The gearbox earth, is it bolted on with one of the top bolts that join the engine and gearbox or does it go somewhere else? Also I have one hose I can't find a home for. The small hose that goes from the lower part of the rad (lhs) to a pipe on the rhs below the alternator, at that point there is another pipe next to it which the hose that comes off it is about 18ins long with a '?' piece at the end, not sure where it goes? Any help appreciated, once these are done I can try and start her

Doing that but the torque conveter moves as well so the hole never line up?

I've just put the engine back in the Z and I am in the process of putting the prop/exhaust etc back on. I am trying to bolt the torque converter and fly wheel back together but when I turn the engine to move the flywheel the torque converter moves as well, how do I stop it turning so I can line up the bolt holes??

I had a similar problem with two previous cars, they weren't 300's but they keep pushing water out. I went through the hassle of the tests which showed no hg problems. On both it turned out to be a faulty seal on the caps on the bottle!!

What the f**k! I start a thread for others to appreciate a car that goes this quick and people have to to get personal. How about for once we actually stay on track with a post, if you don't like the guy then start your own post :nono: and call it s**t me that's quick but the guy is a d**k.
