  1. Cheers for the advice mate. I've sat on a couple and they seem to fit alright. The only bike that has felt small was a cbr400 i went to look at. Guess I'll have to wait till I can go out on one properly first. I had stopped looking at an R6 actually after hearing comments by people about it being a small persons bike but now its back at the top of the list! cheers pal!
  2. My mate has been for a test drive on one and says they are amazing but like Vini said that for the extra he will have to get the R1. Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm just about to take my bike test and was wonderign what bike to get. I've got about 5k and my choices are an R6, 600 ninja or gsxr600. I'm 6ft and 16 stone and will be using it daily as well.
  3. Theres some Indian builders near us whos slogan is, "You've tried the cowboys, now try the Indians!" lol. I'll take a pic next time i see it.
  4. The best programme on tv!!! I watch it every night on FX even though I have the full boxset. Peter Griffin doin passion of the christ is probably the funniest bit ever! Along with Stewie and Brian car jacking someone! lol
  5. About 6 years ago when i was 19 i was lucky enough to find myself in a deserted car park on the back seat with not one but two girls! All was goign well till i had the fright of my life (just thinking about it now is making my heart beat and bringing me out in a cold sweat!) when i looked up and saw three blokes looking through the windscreen! This scared me half to death but it got worse as i relised there were people at every window!!! I've never been so scared in all my life and what made it worse was the windows were steamy so all i could see was outlines of peoples sneering faces! i jumped through to the front and floored it couldnt see where i was going and clipped a bollard on the way out! We were all naked, the girls in the nack crying and screaming and i was in the front with my buttocks still firmly clenched and my chap now looking very unimpressive. it took about 3 days for my breathign to return to normal. Needless to say it killed the moment! lol

  7. Never ever watched a single episode!
  8. My workmate has to pay an extra £400 year council tax over his neighbours because he has a view of a field. Its a school playing field! Do they know something we dont and think that view is worth and extra £400 a year!
  9. How does someone get away witht that? I'm not ashamed to say that brought a tear to my eye.
  10. thought it was always a merc?
  11. I did think about faking it but I don't like doing things like that coz I might be tempting fate and all that *****cks. That why I never ring in at work with a fake illness. I've been told its not bad but I can't see how your intestine sticking out your stomach muscle can't be bad. I might try a new tactic soon of just bombarding the doctors with appointments until they do something about it. If I turn up 3 or 4 times a week with the same problem they'll hopefully do something about it just to get rid of me! On another note I've been doing loads of overtime for the last 6 months and am paying on average £51 a week national insurance (I think) thats £2652 a year. BUPA costs round about £1500 a year. I know where I would sooner my money go.
  12. Well I've had a hernia for nearly 2 years, 4 different doctors all said so, but they won't operate because they said it's an inch higher than normal and it doesn't hurt. Nevermind the fact that my intestine is sticking out of my stomach muscle and the blood supply is slowly being cut off and will eventually kill that bit of intestine leaving me with a blood poisoning. At least I've got something to look forward to!
  13. He got fined an initial £110 for having an overfilled bin. You can save £30 by just throwing the rubbish all over the street as the fine for fly tipping is "only" £80!
  14. Mash - make a cup of tea, as in "I'm going to mash."
  15. i'm a postman and when out on delivery i turned up a driveway and saw my old calibra i sold 5 years previuosly 100 miles away staring striaght at me! from the age of 10 i always told my dad i was going to get one before i was 20 and i got one at 18!!! loved it! sold it a year later after it failed its mot. gutted when i saw it. moss growing up the windows and headlights and the bonnet had been cleaned with a brillo pad!
  16. Scream. I was 14 and was on a school trip to France. We were in some shitty backward inbred village in middle France at 2am when the coach broke down. We were stranded. One of the teachers said his teenage son had given him a film to watch and we coud put it on to pass the time. We were bricking it all night! Girls were crying, lads were trying to act hard and failing, and teachers were trying to be calm. To make it worse it was pitch black outside not a single street light and we kept hearing a strange running and banging outside. When dawn broke we saw we were next to a cow field and it was them fookers kept running and banging into the fence! So scary, makes me shudder now.
  17. i thought the same thing when i read it lol. i think its cool.
  18. that, is very true!!!
  19. I was worried about this but it's nowhere near as bad as Turner and Hooch would have you believe! The only time he's bad is when he has just had a drink, but i normally keep him locked in the kitchen after he has had his dinner or a drink so he doesn't slobber on the furniture. Temprement wise they are so placid and funny, especially when they are puppies. They are not very hyperactive so if you go out and leave them they don't get bored and start chewing. Mine has never chewed once. I would highly reccomend one personally.
  20. i know what you mean about dangerous and some people not treating them right. I've got a rotty and a dogue de boredeaux weighing just under 28 stone between them but they are soft as anything. So loving and playful, yet people in the street still ask how we can keep them. One person even saying next time he sees them he's going to shoot them! Who is more of a danger to the public? Anyway, beautiful pups!
  21. in 2002 my 16 year old cousin was kicked to death by a 17 year old because he was bored and wanted to show off to his girlfriend. the week before he beat another lad up and left him in hospital yet the police bailed him. when it came to sentencing he got 6 years out in 3 for good behavior. an absolute shock. the defences arguement was it was my cousins head hitting the kerb that killed him not the punches or kicks. his head would not have made contact witht he kerb had it not been for the attack!!! within a year of being out he had beat up a soldier, again for no reason, and put the poor bloke in a coma. he has just been sentenced to 4 years. absolutely flabbergasted!
  22. cheers for the advice guys. i'm a complete novice though so can someone tell me where the speed sensor is please??? thanks!
  23. hi i was wondering if anyone can help. my speedo was tempremental when i first got the car, but now seems to have stopped all together. if i'm going fast it will just start to move upto about 15mph but then drop again, or, will suddenly shoot up to whatever speed i'm doing and then just drop again. i have no idea what it could be and would appreciate any help! cheers guys!
  24. i'm new to this site and didn't know him but its still a shock to hear of someone dying so young, only 3 years older than me. rest in peace and my thoughts and condolances go out to all his family and friends.
