  6. Depending on the legends that are Jimmer and JD, i might be able to make an appearance at this :D
  7. See, ive got the same discs as your old ones. And they're fitted the same way round. I've been told that the grooves are meant to allow gas to escape () which would make the way you had them right. But i also heard that, if the discs are the other way around, the grooves cut into the pads. Hmmmm......confused now
  8. Can i ask which way is the correct way to fit grooved discs? The grooves on your old set are the opposite to your AP set-up.

David......wow.....love the wheels! Tam, your car looks stunning now that its finished. Remember seeing it with the front wings on and thought it was gonna look mint! Looks like another great day....gutted i missed it :(
  10. Wait until the better weather kicks in. Roof off and go for a drive......you'll love it again! I would suggest putting it in the garage for 3 or 4 months then going back to it but well, you'd have missed the summer by the time you bring it back out :slap:
  11. I only contemplated selling mine due to leaving the country.......and now it's wrecked. Having thoughts of selling Si?
  12. You can keep your arm buddy, i said i was gonna rip your hand off! :wack: Yeah. Totally gutted that another TT manual shortie has been written off but like you said, some good has come from it.
  13. Thanks for the offer buddy but ive wanted StellaZ's car since he got the bodykit finished! and not i have the chance of it, im ripping his right hand off for it. Totally gutted that they wrote it off, but every dark cloud has a silver lining eh?
  14. I'm gonna get some stick for admitting this but i'm a Magpie. The colour scheme would work well for me ;)
  15. Ive told the insurance company i want to buy it back. They said it shouldnt be a problem and have made on note on the case file to that effect. Mainly only want it so i can sell on the interior, exhaust and the ARC induction. Want to keep the engine and put it into a "really good shell" Just need to wait for the money to come through so i can see what shells are kicking about ;)
  16. Got word back from the insurance this afternoon. She's being sent to the scrapyard in the sky. :( Ive told them i want to buy her back though. Just need to wait and see what they value her at so i can get her back and look for another zed to put my engine into! :D

  21. no. My camera was at home when the accident happened and i forgot it when i went back the following day. :( EDIT: My mates just sent me this one that he took on his phone. It dont look that bad from the picturem but its the inner wing thats worrying me!
  22. Gonna just need to wait and find out. see what the repairers say?
  23. Unfortunately, it is. I couldnt afford to pay to fix the traffic light. If it's written off, im gonna ask about buying it back. If they let me, i'm gonna be looking for a sound body with a knackered engine for a transplant!
  24. Unfortunately, i had a bit of an incident with a traffic light on friday night. I was coming out of tesco on friday night and was sat at the set of traffic lights, at a stand still. They changed to green, bearing in mind it was Lashing down, I started to move forward while turning right. When my rear wheels crossed the metal drain covers, the back end kicked out to the left and started to spin. I steered into the slide and the car went broadside into the traffic light. The N/S/F wing is completely crushed, the front bumper is hanging off, the bonnet is crumpled and the N/S/F inner wing has a bit of a rip in it. Also, the wheel is sitting further under the car than the top is, so im thinking suspension damage. Things aint looking too good guys. I was quite optimistic about it being repairable but once i popped the bonnet and seen that the inner wing has a crack in it, im not so sure. Quite worried now. :(
