  1. Is there any mandatory mods required? Or can you pretty much drive your car there and compete?
  2. Nice to see you dudes taking an interest in this. I had an interesting discussion with a Marine yesterday at work. He asked which way I intended to vote. With him being a good friend, I told him I'm gonna put an X in the "Aye" box. His next line was "I'm disgusted and Insulted" to which I met him with a baffled look. He seemed to think it was wrong that I was voting yes on the basis that it's an insult to all the men and women Who died in conflict in the forces. Just shows how ignorant and narrow minded some people can be.
  3. Bought a new steering wheel and piping to replace my old targa drain lines.
  4. Noel (Noz) is your man for mapping. He's in the middle of sorting mine out just now.
  5. I tried FJ a few years back and they wouldnt cover me due to mods which "increase the cars power by more than 10%". Seriously? An Air filter, exhaust and remap would eaasily notch that ~30bhp up!!!
  6. Best things: removing (and smashing up!!!) up the vile-side bodykit that came stuck to it. Getting my engine rebuilt by Jimmer rebuilding the suspension with Meister Colonels, aftermarket arms and Energy bushes.
  7. As the title says, I'm selling my rear green rear centre panel and transformer thing. I'm looking for £75 + p&p or if your wanting a swap, £60 + your panel my way.
  8. Want me to go round and put a bit weight behind it? Lol
  9. Where's the filling point for putting the new oil in? I'm going to be doing this in the next few weeks
  10. Today, I did 467km in mine to drop it off at Noel. Thanks for your help noel, much appreciated dude.
  11. Booked my train tickets for a trip to the wizard that is Noz. Cannae wait to see what a proper mapper can do to it after my Wallace Performance fiasco!
  12. Made a new gearknob. Just need a few minor amendments then powdercoated.
  13. Welcome along Garth. I was 20 when i got my first (of 3) 300zx. Im sure my insurance was around about £700-£800 which i didnt think was too bad. That was for a UK TT Manual though. Like Si said, it's definitely worth travelling to get the right car. I bought the first one i seen (The one mentioned above) and about 3 months later, i sold it to a breaker because the sills had rotten through. I then travelled to Norwich to buy my next one. So my advice is, dont rush in to the first one that you see / look at. Dont get swept away by "i want a 300zx, this one will do." Hold out for the best one you can find, at a price your willing to pay. Oh and subscribe. it'll be the best £20 you'll ever spend on a 300zx!
  14. im gonna be coming down on the sunday just for a look / enjoy the day. A bit of support for the lads.
  15. Fitted new track rods and track rod ends, get the tracking set and drove the bloody thing!
  16. Right guys, as the title says, the touring cars are back at knockhill on the 23rd/24th of august. Im gonna be heading up. Anyone else fancy it?
  17. I bought a set of front track rods and ends from the zcentre last week. I went to fit them this morning and they don't have enough scope on them to the the wheel to line up as before. Even at the shortest they'll go. The front of the tyre points inwards. I'm thinking of taking the female threaded part of the rod end into work and making it shorter on the lathe or removing some of the threads from the track rod. Anyone ever had this issue and how did you fix it?
  18. Exactly what I wanted to hear. Cheers Pete.
  19. I'm having issues with my diff and I'm considering an NA swap. I know the NA swap gives a better acceleration over the TT, but with the sacrifice of top end. My question is, what sort of sacrifice am I looking at? I'm prepping it for the track / 1/4mile So just thought I'd ask.
