Phil hi the warning light for the pads is in the brake fluid resoirvoir and works on fluid level compared to pad wear. But if someone has topped up the fluid then the pads will be worn out before the light comes on. If that makes sense. ps see you at the meet on the 29th regards Kevin
  11. Ok so whats up with Yorkshire folk. If we are not welcome say so and it will save me a drive. Regards Kevin
  12. are yorkshiremen allowed to go? If so I will be there
  13. cheers for that, was going to check the hoses while its in bits just in case. regards Kevin
  14. Can anybody tell me if it is possible to tighten all the rocker cover bolts, without removing the plenum. Had a look earlier and could not see all the bolts, so it looks like the plenum has to come off. Seems to be leaking oil from rocker covers and running down back of engine. Or is it likely to be the rear camshaft seals that are leaking. Regards Kevin
  15. Mark, do you mean for the door lock or the ignition barrel. If its for the door then I have taken them to bits before and re-tumbled them from the original lock. And they work fine. It is a fiddley job though. Regards Kevin Ps never done the ignition barrel. So wouldnt know about that one.
  16. bad luck on dropping the keys. But if the key was the all metal one, then it is made fron titanium and is not magnetic so no joy with a magnet. Regards Kevin
  17. Count me in, went for first time last year. Not sure if Sat or Sun but will be there one of them
  18. Can anybody tell me what turbo's a 89 jap import should have on as standard. Had car over the pit today and the only ID I can see on them is Garrett 189. No other numbers are visable. Are these the standard turbo's or have they been changed ? Regards Kevin
  19. If anybody else needs these the part no is 55154-30P00 Thanks Kevin
  20. Thanks for that regards Kevin
  21. Have done a search but cant seem to find the part no's for the rear ball joints that fit in the rear hubs and then into the track control arms. Would be greatful if someone could post me the part no's so I can order them from courtesy Thanks Kevin Unless someone on here has some new one's for sale
  22. Has anyone ordered a propshaft centre bearing from courtesy nissan. I have done all the searches on here and on courtesy site. I have the part no (37521-33P25) which is for the uk one. Mine is a 1989 jap import tt auto and I can find no referance to this on any site. So what I am needing is the part no and preferable a link so I can order one. Here's hoping someone can help. regards kev
  23. Thanks once again got a quote off Kieth Micheals cheapest so far at £610 and 500 excess with everything declared. By the way that is fully comp, very helpful as well. regards kev
  24. I have a 1989 j spec 300 and the seat at the passenger side is not electric. I dont know if this is the same with the later spec ones or not , if they are electric you should be able to change it over but you would have to fit the complete seat and runners and of course wire it all up
  25. Thanks for the help lads got some quotes, aplan £729 with 450 excess and £647.85 with 650 excess from direct line both fully comp and declairing the dr10 so a lot better than some of the quotes I have had. Tracker is already fitted so that saves a few quid apart from the £120 a year you have to pay to keep it active
