Orange would be fine for that. Thats all I use the internet for really. It only costs £5 a month and that includes free phone calls, wireless internet and new email addresses.

I am with Orange and it suits my needs just fine. Can be a bit sluggish sometimes though so I imagine it would be crap if you play games etc

It was the worst thing to happen to me at the time but now I am so glad I didn't take a paycut and stay! Still working in construction but for a smaller company yet higher up the tree, more money with the only downside being not as posh a company car! These things happen for a reason and I am positive something good will out of it as long as you keep your head up. Good luck

Not everyone without a job are lazy mate. I was out of work for 2months last year but saw claiming available benefits as only taking back a little of the stupid amount of tax I have been paying over the years!

The more new I see like this, the more I am tempted by a new life in Austrailia or New Zealand. Does anyone hold an online share dealing account? I am wondering how to transfer my max allowed shares into an ISA from my dealing portfolio? If the equity continues to grow above and beyond the tax free limit, do the earnings spill into the next year ISA?

I wouldn't go for plasma because of the screen burn. It only gets worse as the TV gets older. Friend has 60inch jobby, cost just shy of 6k and after 2years the quality has deteriorated terribly! Pay that little bit more for a LCD or LED and you won't have any problems as the set ages.IMHO DYOR. I read a few reviews and wound up with a Sony Bravia, no problems upto now *touch wood*
