  1. Hi Pete, Have managed to get the kit fitted but it was a right nightmare. Firstly, the battery terminal was marked up as a positive so when I went to put it on the negative terminal, it was too big!! I had to go out and buy a normal style battery negative terminal from halfords as I had already cut my negative so I had to walk!!! :( :nono: Then, the shortest lead diddnt reach your reccomended point on the engine so I have had to reroute this elsewhere, not a huge problem but I thought it was a custom fit!!?? ;)
  2. Guys, gonna be fitting the grounding Kit from Zevans very shortly (Cheque on its way mate ;) ), does anyone have a diagram of the best points to use?
  3. Ah thanks dave, that might help. I have already spoken to Paul and he has given me the website of the company that helped him out, but they are based in the staes though! :( What is the need for this inverter? What does it do? Obvioulsy inverts the power or something but why need it?
  4. Ah I see, thanks MAC, will PM him straight away for more info!
  5. Guys, I have one of these, bought it from some guy of here who said it worked but never has since I fitted it! This one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9886&item=7913538129&rd=1 has an invertor, mine doesnt, is that the reason mine doest work? I wired the two wires from it straight onto the rear light but nothing happens when I turn my lights on!!! Any ideas anyone?
  6. Andy, def has a fuel leak as I can smell it sometimes......mmmm its all coming together....I will take the car over to the missus dads garage at the weekend and get it up on the ramps to look for a leak, def smell it at times.... Boost control solenoid thing, is that the little black apexi box located near the drivers side bulhead in the engine bay, I will take a pic at dinner to clarify this. I will also get these ECU codes...... Timing set correctly, nto sure, ut had acambelt change about 1000 miles ago but I need to get a garage to check this for me. Fuel filter, I dont think so, I will check my service records but I dont think it has? Can I do this, is it easy? I think I need to go to one of these rolling road day to get it looked at properly, the Thor one would be great but its full by the looks of it. :(
  7. Chris, Really strange this. Havent had chance to do the check yet BUT driving home last night, initially it was in some form of safety boost mode then I decided to reapply the settings from the boost controller, ie, change to setting [A] and then change it back to setting , left it for about 5 mins and carried on driving. Then afer 5 I booted it and it boost back up to 1.05bar with a little bit of detonation  not good, I know, so I adjusted the duty down a bit and carried on. Then it went back into a safety boost mode again?!?! WTF?!? Got home and it was still running low boost so I thought I would leave it! Went out abotu 8 for dinner and thought well I might as well try it again, this time it boosted back up to 1bar with a little bit of detonation again!!!! Mmmm, all this detonation isnt good!! (Bake bean rattle so I have been told). Drove to work this morning and its detonating at even 0.92bar???? although if I come of the throttle a bit it doesnt?!??? Whats going on??? The boost controller was fitted in line with the manufactuers instructions so I assume it all wired in properly, never had any issues until now (its been in about a month). Can someone, probably Andy, give me a technical breakdown of WHY a car detonates? I have heard this is very bad! Bigger injectors?? Intercoolers?? Will the ECU show up a boost leak? Gonna do the ECU test @ 1pm today so I will post the results....
  8. Whoooaaa, hold the firckin phone guys...... Chris, I have a apexi AVC-R so I guess this rules out the det sensor then?? I will try running different setings to see if I can increase the boost?!? Mmmmm, the plot thickens. Can anyone out there explain to me what the ECU does to the car when it goes into safety boost? Does it adjust the actuator or does it lower fuelling?!??
  9. doesnt sound easy Andy, hate it when u get all technical!! Could I be supplied with diagrams of how to do it or should I leave it to the pro's if this is the case of course!
  10. Oh bugger, so me Det Sensor could be gone!! :( Mmmmm, well, if its gotts be done! Was it an easy job?(starts rolling sleeves up)
  11. Cheers me deers!! :) Will get looking b4 I go home, although its too damp to boost too much!! :)

  15. Well I took the car out at dinner (At work!) and its def not boosting fully! I need to short out those two connectors under the dash dont I? Can anyone remember which two it is? I havent had to do this for about a year! I will get the codes but does anyone also have a chart of what codes represent what! lol I really must buy a conzult, would that tell me? I will then save all this info into my 300zx folder at home for further reference! :) Thanks guys!! :)
  16. Guys, My car has gone into safety boost but why? It is a case of removing the ECU for an hour to reset it isnt it? Mark. :duffer:

Group Buy anyone??? Gonna get new nuts and bolts too, might as well, they look dead easy to fit too, put me wheel back on yesterday and its just two bolts!! :hyper: Ivan, £350 for the rear brake pipes, is that right mate? Seems a bit harsh even though its for the Z32!!!!!! Mantav, same tyre as mine then mate, go figure hey!!! No more Dunlops for me although I am sure these arems are gonna help.
