  1. Try a 12V battery our of a UPS or emergancy lighting. I have one that I use to run the starter for my R/C Plane and heli had it 2-3 years and only charged it once. also used it when i was testing out mods on my headlights. the thing lasts for ever so far.
  2. LOL i sure did, just need to get the bodywork sorted now, has a few dents, chips etc once thats done its the inside to do and i will be happy :)
  3. Just had my MOT car has been stood for almost a year and its time i get her back up to scratch. so guess what she PASSED!!! but wanted to know if the emmisions are good CO 0.67% Pass i know but should this be lower? HC 118ppm Pass is this good? limit for a fail is 1200ppm LOL tipical zed though worked fine the other day, but when i filled her up to go for the MOT she would not go over 2500RPM my first thoughts were 'oh great fecked MAS' but got to the MOT place, had a play with the wiring and then got called over for the mot early :( thought oh great, but what do you know she was fine, was just a lose connection i just had enough time to reconnect it lol infact i had to leave the nose panel off as i didnt have time to put her back on. good job i know the mot people, well my old man does he works there lol.
  4. Yep I did the same :( do a search and you will find the info and pics of mine and what went wrong.
  5. Exactly as Duffer said, they just inject more fule to go faster :)
  6. What settings do you have on each card mate?
  7. I cant tell you the exact figure, but it is fooking heavy. defo more then 50kg
  8. If i am correct its not so much of an issue on Turbos but i know on N/A's you need to get the size and length correct etc. as you need just the right back pressure and so on. however on a turbo the turbos create a lot of back pressure (think its about 20psi) so a free flowing is best. so in simple n/a = needs x backpressure turbo = as free flowing as possible. sorry if i am wrong but thats how i think it works from what i have read. Also know the lengh of inlet manafolds also makes a difference but thats another topic.
  9. As the Duff man says they are reusable :D used mine 3 times now and never had a problem :)
  10. As the title says, My zed's been off the road since april last year and has just been sat outside on the drive and not started or anything, anyway shes all booked in for an MOT next weekend so went out today changed the oil and filter, toped up the coolent etc checked her over then put the jumpleads on her and WOW first turn of the key she fired up and run perfectly (well she ticked for a few seconds while the oil got to the tapits) I could not beleve it :D she even drove perfect lol Now all she needs is the MOT, Tax and a little TLC and some body work and shes as good as new :D
  11. LOL its not a find its my own site hehe ;) just translating that lot into real english as altavista does not do a very good job lol
  12. LOL didnt take long for links to my site to get about, sorry about the really back jap to english but i am working on correcting it or at least making it readable lol. altavistas translation thing is not that good is it? lmao
  13. By the way if anyone is interested here are some more howtos, the translation is not perfect yet but its still a work in progress. http://www.chimera-labs.com/how_to/
  14. no problem :) also getting the LED to stick to the the chip is a pain in the backside. you need fine flexible wire or it will bind up.
  15. Darn My secret is out lol I did this serveral months ago when i had all my center consle out lol. its looks stunning but you need to modify they plans they give you though. first you need to put some small card between the leds or the colors of the one next to it leaks through. also you need to align the leds directly under the marks.
  16. I beleve you can use one resistor per LED for the bright ones, and one resistor and the dim LEDs in parrelel :)
  17. It can be done but its a bitch to do, as a LED is very directional with its light output, you need to really remove the switch then the little panel with the wiper logo on it and feed the LED in from that end so it points towards you.
  18. Do what I did, take the lights apart and clean every thing inside then go to homebase and buy the bulbs you put in them high power torches (make sure they are the 12v ones) you get 2 in a pack for something like 2.99 and they are 100W I have checked them on my own car and all the wiring and nothing is overloaded with them and they work superb. plus they put out a nice white light rather then the usual yellowy light.

One thing i noticed about these engines is the valve cams ususally spring to the closed possition so you may be lucky.
