  9. hi jase m, u said at the start the engine did not work before you bought it because of this problem, and that you have re built it and the same prob has come back, i dont want to put a downer on it mate but it sounds like the system is back pressuring which when air gets in the system and the causes it to boil over, would def check out all your hose's for small splits or pin holes, this includes the one's under the plenium, and check rad cap and any other iteams related to your cooling system, if this does not sort it out then you may have a small leak in one of the gallerys, which i'm not sure if it can be sorted out, if the engine has been cooked and cracked in the past then thats what i would suspect..... hope you can get this sorted it was overheating that killed mine all the best
  10. cheers guys can't decide on what body kit i'm after at the mo wanting to see a wide ass in the flesh so i can make my mind up
  11. 12. normally a sqeak from the front of the car is the bonnet check your bonnet stops the little rubber blocks on the nearside and off side off the bonnet right at the front just above the head lights they should be about 10mm long if mem serves me right
  13. from what i can recal the folding mirror switch just make a live connection to the mirrors the switch has 3 setting fold out off and fold in so as long as the pulse from the alarm is long enough then you should get auto mirror movment

  17. i will make an apperance got to really havn't i
  18. :duffer: Makes perfect sense to me i did not realise it only draws water back in when cooling :duffer:
  19. dutchy drain a bit of collant out of the reservoir so its about half full and just dont worrie about it, i would check you rad cap if the lower rubber seal looks bad then just replace the cap but it sounds like your zed is fine to me
  20. sorry m8 but you need to check you info there is a small non pressured house going to that reservoir if it was used for expansion then you would have 2 pressure hose's not one the above pic is taken from the nisssan service manual i guess in theory you could remove the reservoir, look at a modern car that has an expansion take, has thick hose coming in at the top and a thicker hose coming out of the bottom, turn the enigine on and watch the water once up to temp circulate, you do not an i mean do not get expanison in the reservoir also the other clue to not geting expansion in the reservoir is the fact it does not have a pressure seal on the cap. go look under your bonnet for yourself - i do no what i'm talking about seaing as i have just done a full conversion on my rad N/a to T/t :headvswal
  21. yes the cooling system does expand but that is all done in the rad those marks are to let you no when the overflow is full or empty you should keep a certain amount off coolant in there incase you coolant levels drop within the rad ( the pressure from the drop will suck coolant out of the reservoir back into the coolant system) and vis versa when there is too much coolant in the coolant system it dumps it into the reservoir :duffer:
  22. this is a reservoir tank not expansion tank think of it as an overflow, when you over fill your radiator the system dumps coolant into the reservoir for safe keeping, and when you rad gets to low on water it sucks it back from the reservoir, if this reservoir is dumping water dont worry about it may be drain out some of the water in there but i would just leave it
  23. ok guys you need to stop using house hold products on you cars, need to use car products only, house hold cleaning products contain ammonia ( if i spelt that right) which will slowly start to get through a degrade the delicate interiors and exteriors of you cars
