Thanks for the reply's guys, It doesn't help when the parts department is tucked away out sight at this particular Nissan dealers..so you have to put your faith in the guy doing the ordering.. I had problems with same dealers for a Primera exhaust section ( dealer part only) theres only 2 versions and about a foot difference between the 2 and guess which one he ordered... the wrong one.. But personaly i think they guy has no interest in his job and provides the minimum effort to get thru the day... think i need to find a better dealer.. any suggestion's north east lad's.. ?

If you have a look at online manual it will be helpful...when i did mine i set them to specified length and tracking was still out, so i would recomend getting that done as well... The mot tester failed my car on rear bushes due to play (so i special ordered from nissan) Turned out to be nothing wrong with them just the play in the hicas arm made it look like play in the bushes...... :slap:

Actually i think thats a fair way of paying ( the more miles you do the more you pay) Ditch the road tax... No doubt we would get shafted either way

Going to change oil and filter shortly so while i'm under the car i thought i will do the fan belt, power steering belt, etc while i'm there.. Phones Nissan (now evans halshaw) to check availability and order belts.. No problem sir... what model z32 blah blah..Oh its an import, he says ! i will need the chassis No and paying up front before i order ( even though i work for Nissan) So i say i will get chassis No and come down and pay.. Gets there and the fookin idiot goes away and comes back Oh i need the model number as well ( which i didn't have ) Anyway come home and ring in Model number to him, 5 mins later he comes back and says power steering belt is on back order and he cannot tell me how long it will take to get it...some help that is.. and he will need paying before he ordered them.. So fook it i am not trailing back down .. any traders online that sell these ? 1990 TT Auto, jap import, Alt, power,air con belts (prices and postage) if possible.. Cheers What's the point of a Nissan dealer if they can't supply a simple service item ? :rant:

Hi... the only cable you have on your brakes is for the handbrake...so it's unlikely to be a cable.... the footbrake is a hydraulic system ( a combination of metal and flexable pipes) it's possible your brake pads could be worn or a build up of brakedust... i would also check your wheelnuts for tightness.. It's difficult to diagnose faults without hearing them as it could be numerous things, but start with the easy stuff first...hope this helps you

Have you checked there's nothing above the filter thats leaking and making it look as if its coming from the filter ? Just a thought......
