Well considering you were running at 1 bar and I was running at stock. I'd say yes they are... But then, when I took it for a quick blast round PPS I kinda changed my mind :D

Sorry this was meant to read, it now turns over but doesn;t fire (i.e. start). Earth lead is fine.

Swapped batteries over this morning. The machine gun starter motor has gone away but the car still does not turn over. Gonna check for a spark once I've fully charged the battery. Getting a bit worried now that she won't be going to Billing :(

The wheels are actually Masitaly rather than Kahns. Look exactly the same though ;). Yep I'll sort something out for Friday regarding a convoy.

well I've just been speaking to Sparks and he says the same so you may be on to something Mike. Will swap it over with SMW2 tomorrow and see what happens.

I was running the car connected up to the Bemma earlier (i.e. jump leads) and it still wouldn;t start, so I don;t think the starting problem is the battery. However I think I have run it down in the meantime.

Right, the car has now gone from trying to start to sounding like a machine gun :confused: I'm thinking I may have run the battery down with all the attempts at starting the thing. Any ideas ?

Well I got the back wheels on, but I can't put the front on yet because I can't get the car started (need to drive onto some planks to get the hight for a trolley jack ;) ).

well the stuff is mildy acidic. If you use it too much then your stainless steel won't look very shiny after a while. I used that on my stock wheels, after a wheil the brake dust starts to stain as the surface wax is eaten away by the cleaning solution.

Ok, got all the plugs out nad checked for corrosion. The plugs were a little sooty so I gave them a clean and put them back in. Checked the fuel filter and got soaked. plugged it back in agian and turned the ignition on, listened for the fule pump. Checked again, got soaked again. So that fuel is getting there. next I checked the PTU, all the connections are in place and secured firmly. Gonna pull a coil and check the spark now.

Sounds to me like you need a rolling road. You may only get a leak when the pressure builds up. Try driving round a car park for a few laps then park up and take a walk round. Soulds like you were just a little unlucky and maybe the excess you put in just had to find a way out. Now it's out it may not give you any more problmes. Fingers crossed for you mate.

Hi Peeps, Got my car back from PPS yesterday and had no problems with the car. It needed a jump start but after 300 miles the battery was fully charged :D. This morning it doesn't want to start. It turns over fine but just doesn't fire. ConZult Error shows all clear (55). I'm in the process of stripping the coil packs down to check the plugs. Any other ideas of things I can try if I don't find anything ?

About bloody time you took the plunge and got them tinted. I want to get Cerina's done for her, may go for the silver blue if she likes it. You fitted TC and set it up today ?. Took me about a week to tweek mine !!!!

Will look tops once the headlight panel is done. Delined and smoothed (Got Macca's approval on this one ;) ) an example of the paint job that PPS did, outstanding...... Group photo's to follow ;)

Ok I'm home now. That A1 is a PITA. 7 hours to get home and I still have a huge grin on my face :D Right I did take a few pictures but I bought the wrong camera with me so the quality is not excellent. I'm still missing a 4 slot headlight panel which will hopefully be ready by Billing. I will take a few more tomorrow once I have put the new wheels on. Before I post the pictures I have to say a very big thanks to...... Iain (macca) who worked very hard sorting bits and pieces out. A big thanks for your hospitality and the missus says thanks alot for giving her your knob :eek:, it matched the car much better than the one she's used to shifting with :eek:. ChrisCnot sure if I'm allowed to say, so I'll just say... I can notice the differenece already and I'm still running stock boost (until mid next week anyway ;) ). PaulCfor sorting my wheels and tyres and putting up with my moaning along the way. Peter for doing an excellent job on the car. It's more than I wanted and I really appreciate the effort you and your guys have put in to get it all sorted :D. Right now for the pictures.....
