Yes - its a fibreglass panel, as wide as the boot is! Blending will involve filler and sanding.

Ok, when you take the original spoiler off - this is what you'll be left with. You will need to cover that mess up obviously and thats where the tailgate skin comes in. It has to be blended into the rest of the tailgate - hence the cost to fit. It will also add a small lip the the tailgate. HTH.
