sweet link, thanks for that rubble. The pump is definitely the location it's coming from. Suppose I just have to get the boost pipes and everything above there off now to see if it's actually the pump or the pipe that gors to it. Anyone know how bigger job it is to get out and about how much the pumps are. Its the one at the front of the engine on the left as you look at it, top pulley..... Thanks for all the replies!!

Yeah, not good but thats the way it goes with these cars hey, it's going into the spray shop tonight too lol. Think it's trying to get me not to leave it there!! I can't see any pipes tho, where was the Hicas solenoid?

Just coming home from work and the power steering has stopped working and the HICAS light has come one. Looked in the pot and the fluid seems to have been thrown all over the front of the engine. :cry: So my questions are these 1. Is the power steering pump at the top left of the engine as your looking at it? 2. Are there any pipes or anything around there that could have broken instead of the pump? and 3. how harda job is it to change out once a find a new one?? Cheers all

The car has racing Dynamics alloys on it at the moment so I don't know how much these were knew and whether they are worth refurbing. I quite like the look of them though and don't think I could go to 18's cause the ride is so harsh so don't know whether it would be worth changing them for another set of 17's Does anyone know if they are 2 piece or 3 piece split rims??

Can't decide whether to get the alloys refurbed or just get some new ones, I guessing the refurb would be cheaper but would they comoe up as nice as a new set??

Mine first one was in a VW polo coupe, thought it would be a good idea to see how far I could get it off the ground 5 up.... Turned out to be not such a great plan when it hit the ground and crushed the sump, gearbox linkages, exhaust etc Had to kick it out of forth and two of my mates managed to pull it into 2nd so I could limp it home!! oops

Well the car passed the MOT yesterday so it's all good for the respray... yay!! Couple of thoughts though. I was wanting a 99 spec bumper but can't really afford 500 quid on top of the respray so was thinking about removing the veins accoss the intercooler vents on the bumper I already got to make it a little different, has anyone done this? Firstly is it possible without the bumper falling to bits and does it look alright?? I was also thinking about doing the whole roof in black so it just blends in with the screen. Again has anyone done this and does it look good?? Cheers
