  1. Life in the fast lane... :D
  2. lol... All ov the above! 1 word.... AWESOME!
  3. Used to play around with gearing via rim sizes to trim the handling when i was racing karts in my hey day... Wheel circumference does nothing for fuel consumption, (air pressure and jetting sorted this issue) but a thinner / taller wheel rim will give you slightly higher gearing and hence slightly higher top end... A wider wheel will give better accel' and more lateral grip. If your getting >20mpg in your Zed, then you aint driving it proper! :D
  4. Nissan in Didcott did a good job on my Zed. However, the guy that worked in it, had plenty of TT experiance.
  5. Red Zed's are #1... Its a no brainer! :D
  6. Nad300. Perhaps you could refund my money for the dodgy fuel reg'u sold me as workin. Have sent Email.. But no resp'... So hence will have to chase you on here...
  7. Hey Nad300... U owe me for the broken fuel regulator you sold me as working. Give me you addy so i can send it back, Would appresh, a pay pal payment in return. Check ur Email. Ta.
  8. Tried starting her off another battery? Maybe the cells in you batt are dead... :S
  9. Hey Daveman / chaps, Cheers for your advice. Nissan main in Didcott performed the cam belt change as well as fitting new fuel pump and regulator. The car has been off the road since end Oct' and i have only just got her back last week. I took 'er' out for a spin shortly after writing the original message on Tuesday affy. The engine never missd a beat, not once in 2.5 hours of driving. Any hoo... I plan to give her a spin tonight and see if the symptoms are evident. Will give Nissan a bell tomorrow anyway and see what they say. Thanx guys. :)
  10. Just had the cam belt changed on my Manual TT. I now notice a slight missfire around 4.5 - 5k and have also noticed it going flat at 6K. The engine used to pull clean through the rev range prior to the belt change. Both symptoms are very intermittent, but before i go back to the garage and ask them to look into the issue, is there anyone here who has had similar probs?
  11. Ok. Problem fixed. New fuel regulator arrived from Japan is fitted and she is now running sweet apparently. Pick her up tomorrow. Cheers for all your help / advice chaps.
  12. Okey dokey. What / where is a PTU and CAS unit?
  13. hi Chris, in all honesty, it was the AA man who peformed the diag'... Bless 'im. I bought the car with a warranty so the cost has been deferred. But i have taken all points raised here seriousely and am wiser for it. So cheers to you guys! P
  14. Brilliant! Thanks for all your advice. I will read through the details t'nite. My Addy is; peter.noble@virginmobile.com or schumi_not@hotmail.com
  15. Hi guys... I'm a new member to this web site, so i'll say hello 1st! :D I bought my 90' TT Zed early Sept, and love the driving experience!:D However the fuel pump went 'oops i'm not playing anymore' at the end of Oct, and under warranty went to Nationwide Auto Centre where it sat for 5 days with the mechanics constantly turning the car over in order to diagnose the problem. Even with the battery flat, i was advised that ther was a problem with the alarm... :wack: So after aquiring a spare batt and jump leads i showed them the fuel feed pipe and while turning the car over pointed out that there was no fuel pressure coming through... Experts eh??? :smash: So a flat bed was called and it went to Nissan main in Reading, where it sat for a few more days with the mechanics not really wanting to touch it.YTS? So Nissan-Reading transfered the car to Nissan in Didcott, where they correctly diagnosed the problem and advised me accordingly.(Hooray!) The new fuel pump arrived from Japan last week, but now the garage have informed me the regulator / control circuitry has been fused by the fuel pump failure and this needs to be replaced also. Hence i have now been informed (Along with a bill for £1100.) i now have to wait till end of Jan for this part to arrive in the uk!? Nissan advised me that there is no where in the uk to source this part... Is this correct? I would love to hear otherwise. Also, due to the difficulty in recieving adequate service (Most people just spare at the engine with a 'oh' look on their face.) due to the cars exclusivity (Love it!:D) is there anywhere other than Nissan main to take her to in future? Everything seems to take for ever to get sorted and effective communication has been an issue i would prefer to avoid in future. I dont use my TT for commuting (Why would anyone? Shares in BP or Shell would be an advantage here!) as i work in Central London so in the mean time i will enjoy a few more beers while my baby is off the road. Small compensation but sufficient for the time of year! :D Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Pete
