  1. I will shortly be replacing my tailgate with the popular tailgate panel containing the 4 round light clusters. I have opted for symetrical lights, which means I will 'lose' my after-market rear fog, which currently uses one of the rear lenses. I will be retaining the standard bumper with integrated brake light and was wondering if anyone has used this lens as their rear fog??? And if so, was it a difficult task?
  2. I'm currently looking to spruce up my interior with a 5-7.5" LCD monitor of some description, whether it be to run as a TV, DVD, VIdeo, CD or even just a reversing camera... The best value unit I've seen so far is the Centurion DVD56WA DVD with 5.6" TFT LCD priced at £250.00 though this contains neither an in-dash DVD or in-dash monitor. If anyone has this unit or one similar, where have they mounted their monitor. Any pics?? As you have probably gathered, I am not looking to spend £1500.00 on a complete in-dash unit, but I want to try and get something that looks pretty good, on 'a budget'. Any ideas? Any pics? Cheers
  3. No, the power steeering has only worked once (very briefly) in the last 3 weeks. Speedo seems to be ok....
  4. My steering in my 89(G) Z has become very heavy, resulting in an almost dislocated shoulder, due to the fact that I park in a multi-storey car park every day. The power steering kicked in briefly a few days ago for about a minute, but has generally given up the ghost. I have taken the car to Western Power steering in Bristol, who are regarded as local experts. They felt that the problem was an electrical problem (including maybe a loose connection) rather than a hydraulic problem. Nissan (main agents) are going to be having a look at the car on thursday, though they have already advised me that they don't have the appropriate electrical testing equipment. Anyone had any similar problems and if so, how were they rectified??? Anyone know anyone not too far from Bristol , who could run a test? If it does need a new rack, where's the cheapest place to get one? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. It's a Jap spec folding one. I'll accept the highest offer (plus p&p). ps. the original price from the breaker was £50.00 plus p&p plus VAT, so obviously less than this.
  6. Anyone in need of a right wing mirror, in working order with all the wiring etc... The reason I have it is, because I've just bought my second Z and the guy I bought it from, had ordered one wing mirror from a breaker and they sent him two. It's black, though can obviously be painted. I'm saving for an in-car DVD, so every little bit of extra cash helps!!!! Will accept the highest offer... Cheers.
  7. I've just bought my second 300ZX, which appears to be up to scratch, with FSH (inc. Japanese etc). It had an MOT just before I bought it, and was fitted with new pads. The previous owner has advised me that the loud sqeaking noises when breaking have only been there since the new pads were fitted. Is it possible that it is simply because the pads are new, or is it likely to be something else???
  8. ie. the one with the four round lights.. Anyone got one for sale (at a realistic price)???? Alternatively, if I were to do it myself, does anyone know where I can get the job done (supplied and fitted) for less than £700.00??? RSVP
  9. I was thinking of modifying the tailgate of my fairlady to the 4 round lights style seen on many cars, but unforeseen circumstances won't allow this (financially). However, on perusing the Zcentre website, I saw (under the bodykit 5 category) a 'black vinyl rear strip (part no: ZC016)' for £25.00. There's only one picture of this on a red car, and it appears to go over the rear lights creating an illusion of 6 round rear lights, with a Z motif in the middle. This looks like an ideal alternative for me (for now), but there isn't really much info on this on the website. Does anyone have this on their car, and if so, is it any good, and do they have any pics I could look at???? Cheers, YGB
  10. Does anyone know of a bodyshop within 100 miles of Bristol, that would be able to supply fit and paint a tailgate panel (including 4 round light clusters) to my silver fairlady???? If so, please let me know...
