Is this what you have mate? This is the series-1 ('91 J-spec), IIRC.

This dial-swapping business is not always possible. I have a '94 J-spec and the dials are totally different to a '91 J-spec. It is physically impossible to swap dials. The screws to actually hold the dials in are different, let alone the connectors. '91 spec: '94 spec
