Dont think your car would run properly without the ECU temp sensor :confused: There are 2 senders on the top of the metal water pipe facing the large fan. The LH one sends temperature readings to the ECU, the RH one to the stock temp gauge. Pete

Thanks mate :) IMO A sound engine is worth a lot on the strip/rollers etc - look at Stuarts RR BHP figure on stock boost for an example. 13.517s @106.26mph is my best, though I've only had a couple of runs since raising the boost so I'm confident of going quicker :)

Morning, hope you all slept well, I didnt as my cheapo-new-house-water-meter busted itself open last night and sprayed torrents of mains pressured water all over my fecking house :mad: :( The water leak was before the vavve so there was nothing we could do until the water board sent a bloke out to clamp the piping further back. By that time half of my downstairs was under an inch of water! :( We've just had new flooring laid in the kitchen and hall, and new cupboards arrived this week (5 months to order!) for a different leak which we claimed on our house insurance for. They haven't even finished repairing that one :rolleyes: Now the kitchen floor, hall laminate, kitchen cupboards and all the skirting boards and plasterboards are knackered :cry: The water board will be paying for all repairs and fitting a new meter NOT in the wall of the house today, and bypassing the busted one, but if its anything like the last repairs it'll take months including lots of fecking holiday taken which pi55es me off :mad: Happy fkucing Christmas Pete... Just thought I'd vent some frustration :) Pete

I have a SE-style ;) aftermarket chip in mine and it I dont think it's transmission specific. Or if it is I've had no problems... :D Dunno about stock tho - though I remember something about one fitting in the other, but not the other way round. Or something... AndyZ'll know.
