  1. As above, I've got a set of Works Meisters on the Zed that are desperately in need of a refurb. Can anyone suggest/recommend someone that'll be able to take a look at Most companies won't go near 3pc, but refurbing them is going to be far far cheaper than replacing them. Cheers
  2. Right, haven't managed to get a pic yet, but in this diagram you can see what I'm talking about. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=26120 Top right, straight across to the left of the number 19 against the wing. It's a rectangular box bolted to the wing, about 5cm by 10cm has an electrical plug going into the underneath as well as a rubber pipe, which has split on mine and is causing a boost leak. Any idea what it is and where I can get a replacement pipe? Any help is greatly appreciated!
  3. Yeah I had a chat with him about it when I was there, shares a lot of parts with both the Zed and R32 as I remember.
  4. I switched to D2 when Scott at Nexus disappeared (never found out what happened to him...) Give em a call, very good honest guys. Very hard to find now a days!
  5. Just wanted to check it was most likely the sensor, rather than some other common fault with another part of that circuit. Thanks
  6. Done an ECU check for fault codes today, and having cleared any old ones and taken the car for a spin it's thrown up code 14 (which was showing before I reset the ECU). Now I know it's the speed sensor circuit, but what do I need to be looking at to fix it?
  7. What size would you need for the Zed?
  8. Just to update, got the car down to D2 for Darren to have a look. Alternator was fine. Just shows you the benefits of a decent mechanic! Was just the main fuse in the ignition circuit (big bit of wire) that needed replacing, as well as some burnt out wiring. Job done!
  9. Maybe, I seem to remember they were going to knock down one of the units at one stage.....
  10. Yeah not working anymore, maybe it's a problem with the phone line?
  11. Cheers for the replies, have the car booked in with d2 now so will wait and see what the diagnosis is!
  12. What number do you have mate? One I tried was dead, no ringing or anything......
  13. Right, battery is dead, but that's because the alternator is also dead. So I need a new alternator. Does any one know of a good garage near Sout East London to use? Seems like my usual one may not be there any more :-(
  14. Does anyone know if Scott still has Nexus down in Southend? Tried the old number but seems disconnected. I know a few people on here have used him before......
  15. Thanks for the help, not fitted anything recently cars just been sat for a week. Me thinks with all this shit rain and not moving the car some water may have crept in and shorted something, thus draining the battery. I'll keep looking and update later. Cheers.
  16. Hi all, need some advice. Went to start the card this morning, dash lit up but made clicking noise rather than turning over. Had a look under bonnet, made sure battery connected and tried again, same thing. So decided to try and jump start it. As I went to put the second lead on the Z, there was a flash of sparks and the headlights came on, alarm went off etc. Took all the leads off, and when I tried to start no lights on dash, nothing. Had a fiddle with the fuse box(s), and when I looked at the small one on the driver's side I moved the one closest to the wing (which has a large loop of wire on it). This got the car live again, but still no starting. Car has now gone back to being dead again, but I've noticed if I move this same fuse I get a clicking in one of the relays in the big fuse box?!?! Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be or how to fix?
  17. Just to clarify this isn't a ruling on whether the fees are unfair. It's a ruling to decide whether certain legislation can be applied to them to then decide if they are unfair or not. Will be a while before any decision on refunds will be made.
  18. I've also only ever used Scott, top bloke and outstanding service.
  19. The boats were at the London Motor Show and I think they took them to Top Gear Live as well.......
  20. This sounds class! Weather permitting I'll try and make it down, should be excellent come summer.
  21. Yeah I can see that, says it's a 1.8 on the ad as well which would fit. I'm gonna say Cossie because the seller said he didn't want to reveal if it was 4x4 or not............
  22. Yeah that's right, the law change effectively makes any tint forward of the B pillar illegal. As far as being stopped by the police goes, they would technically need a light meter to check them. However, I have seen many a chav by the side of the road peeling off their ridiculous 100% tints after being told to by the police. At the end of the day if they think it's dangerous they will make you remove it. Does depend alot on the copper.
  23. No they're not, sounds like you've got aftermarket discs.
  24. I'll try and make this one! 1) Essexgt4 2) wozzer 3) SMW1 4) Steve666
