We would be better of claiming benefits!
Maybe if you thought of it differently as in you need childcare for both of you to continue working as normally not just for Alana to return to work, I know in the long run it still means you have to pay £850 to gain £1150!

We would be better of claiming benefits!
My wife runs her own private child minders business and I have to defend her here! At £187 per week (@ 40 hours) she would only be earning £4.67 per hour, from that she would feed and water the kid she also does this from home so we have to heat and light the house all day as well as providing all the relevant insurance not to mention the out off hours training and inspections. If the child is also at nursery she will also have to take them there during the day (in the 7 seater we had to buy) and collect them later, she is also restricted to the amount of children she can look after at any one time. How much would you want to earn for looking after someone else screaming bad mannered kid, if say you had 3 to look after that would be £14.01 per hour less expences and I can assure you I wouldn't be doing it for that!!!

A question about Scottish Independence...
Not sure if devomax was as important to the SNP as you might think as they dropped it like a hot potato when they were offered what they really wanted which was the reduction in the voting age!

A question about Scottish Independence...
I can admit to being one of the few people who voted SNP at the last election (although they had a landslide victory so there must be more like me), if you had asked me this time last year if I would vote for independence I would have said no but now I am undecided! One of the main reason for my indecision is they way the coalition government have tried everything they could not to allow the referendum these people are here to serve the public whether we are English, Scottish or British and as the majority of Scotland voted for a party who's main policy was to have an independence referendum then this has to happen! To be honest it is not something that I find is discussed daily and I find it is something I am asked about more often by people from south of the border.
