  1. Thanks for the reply, probably better explain myself a little more; My car is a J spec auto, the engine has had it, I have the chance of an engine from a J spec manual from Stenorth that has head gasket failure, i wont be changing the box as I am sad and like autos!! Hence the question as to wether it would be a strait swop over?
  2. As above J spec will the engine from a manual, drop strait into an auto please?
  3. need you here now!!!! lets say 30 an hour? job done.
  4. Thanks for your comments Glen, its the unknown factor of buying used that is making me consider re building my own unit
  5. Can anyone please give advice on whether to re-build my engine or to replace it with a used unit, the big ends have now given up and it has suffered from a top end rattle, ( guessing lifter prob) for a while what would be the best route to go? not in a hurry to get it back on the road as yet, also what should I expect to pay for crank re-grind, bearings rebuild etc? I will be doing the re-build myself to save on costs, any help is appreciated.

  12. could some one please tell me the correct offset for a set of wheels for 300tt (j spec if it makes a difference) thinking of 18s or 19s as replacement for the stock alloys, I believe the pcd is 114 is this correct, also whats the bore size please.
  13. Some time ago I purchased a Wings west copy from A trader called deankndee(front and rear) just spent about five hours this afternoon fitting the front, so if anyone here is thinking of purchasing one this is how it went! The quality of the moulding is very good but do not expect it to fit easily, (after removing the original bumper last night) a lot of trimming is needed to house the indicators, I had to re-shape the rear of them with a belt sander to get a good fit, you will then need to trim a little from your cars plastic moulding that houses the driving lamps, mainly from the corners, it starts to fit at this point, but not yet! the spoiler then needs a lot of trimming to get it to fit up to the headlights as the moulding is too deep and will foul the headlight mounting points, seven hours later its ready to bolt on,darkness stopped me finishing the job, looks good, and I believe offers good value, If anyones interested ill post pics tomorrow when finished, but there must be a few on here that may have wondered about the fit, so in conclusion, yes it does, but allow a lot of time. Hope this may help some one.
  14. been offered a set of alloys they are 19 inch and from a lexus is200 will these fit my J spec TT and will the offset and stud pattern be ok? also will spacers be needede, many thanks in advance for your help!
  15. Providing that you have not got a criminal record, with the exception of the odd speeding fine, also providing that you can give proof of where you will use a gun, and you will also have to meet security guidelines with regard to the storage of a gun/guns, you will have very little problem obtaining a shotgun certificate, it is however harder to obtain a class 1 firearms liscence, Ive held both but have now surrendered the firearms liscence. the best way to see if its for you is to go along to your local clay pigeon club and try the sport out to see if it suits you, these are also good places to meet contacts with regard to going rough shooting.if you need any more info then let me know.
