rear ball joints
No it's the one on the bottom triangular suspension arm. Am overhauling a tt rear end at the moment to put in my na. The tt ball joints had no rubber seal left on them so scrapped them. Am hoping now that my na joints will fit when I swap the subframes over.

rear ball joints
Complete o/haul of back end going on at the moment. Need the bottom ball joints that go in the alloy bracket thing. Are these main dealer parts only or do other people supply them? Any idea how much they are?

Throttle sensor voltages
Ok, all done, voltages were ok. Was looking at the wrong plug! Thanks all.

Throttle sensor voltages
Ah, that might explain it, let me go and have another look.

Tried to place order so I could find carriage charges and delivery time, etc, but you have to put in a delivery method before adding to basket. Is there another way to order this stuff if it's coming to the UK? How is the vat and duty paid?

Throttle sensor voltages
Yes it's the tps. I think there's something wrong here. The supply voltage is supposed to be 5v but measures 9v. I'm measuring voltages between the pins, should I be measuring between one pin and earth?

Throttle sensor voltages
Tried to check sensor this morning to solve an auto g'box problem. But voltages are nothing like what's in the manual. ie. outer contacts = 9v at idle and 0v when open slightly top 2 contacts = 0v idle 12v open slightly bottom 2 = 9v idle 12v open slightly Is that 5v and 0-4.2v thing just for early engines? Mines a '94 n/a. Thanks.

Workshop manual
Yes I saw that the other day but as above, it looks like just a 20 page update thing. Will try sending the seller a question.

No he's got no bushes in stock. Anywhere else please?

Workshop manual
I use the online manual, which is great, but a bit inconvenient, is it available in paper form? Started to print it off but it's hundreds of pages.

Want to do my rear subframe over the bank holiday but Z centre can't get the bushes in time. Where's next best place to go?

***chav Smashes Windscreen***
This is too much now, you have totally lost the plot. Rock salt is useless, you need good old table salt as it gets in the bloodstream far quicker and is much more painful....

Tune Or Transplant
Transplant. If you tune it you just end up with what loads of other people have already got. And if you think a tuned V6 sounds good wait till you hear a supercharged V8 at full chat.

Why Oh Why!!
Manta, If I had the money I'd go for the Dodge Viper V10 swap. Probly no more grunt than mine with s/c but how cool does it sound down the pub, "300zx with Dodge Viper V10"?

Subframe bush help
Hey, that looks great, thanks mate.
-
How did you get to a 300zx?
I wanted something sporty, with big engine bay and rear wheel drive, to drop my chevy into. Eventually whittled it down to 300zx or Porsche 928. Z looks great now I've got it but wouldn't mind a go in a 928 just to be sure, before I start the swap.

Subframe bush help
Just got the first bush out with the drill and hacksaw method. The bush came out with a steel cylinder attached, about 3mm thick wall. Still in the subframe is a thinner wall tube which has a lip one end, which has obviously been sawn thro, and a ring of rubber the other end. Question, is this part of the bush or part of the subframe? Ta.

Diff and driveshafts
Sorry to resurrect this one, just got the tt subframe with the diff and all the suspension arms and hubs still on. I know I'll have to use the subframe but does anyone know if any parts on my n/a back end are identical to the tt bits. I only ask cos the tt bits are quite rusty, whereas my bits are like new.

Power steering - infact NO POWER STEERING - but then again sometimes power steering?
mine did this last week. Steerings normally dead light but it suddenly went very heavy, thought belt had come off, but it just as suddenly cleared itself and been fine since. Would like to know cause, it was just like someone had switched the pump off and then back on 20 secs later.

Autobox, odd problem
Thanks both. It does it when holding the throttle steady. Done some searches on setting the tps so will have a go at that tomorrow.
