Noisy Tappet...Oil???
Mark i think you miss understood what i was meaning, Fry1 mentioned crud blocking the tiny holes up so what i ment to say in reply was if the holes are blocked and the oil is too thick (when cold) it wont get in, i nhave had this experience. The polymers are added to prevent the oil from thinning too much when it gets hot. When the oil is cold the polymers allow the oil to flow more freely as its thicker when cold which is the low W number. when the oil gets hot, the polymers react to prevent the oil from thinning too much. So therefor the higher second number is the rating the oil will only thin to when hot. So the higher the number the thicker the oil will stay when its hot, if its still too thick when its hot any blockages will stop or slow the oil flow down. Especially if changing from mineral to synthetic oils can cause deposits in the engine to get dislodged and causing all sorts of problems if the engine hasnt had a good flush first

Noisy Tappet...Oil???
Not saying its thin oil causing a noisy lifter, im saying its too thick an oil causing it, as you say the holes in the lifter are very tiny so the oil isnt getting in there, why i said use a thinner oil :)

Noisy Tappet...Oil???
I think its the other way round bud, your oil isnt thining enough when its getting hot and possibly leaving a lifter dry, 5w50 means the viscosity values of the oil 5w is a 5 weight oil the 50 is the hot oil viscosity and means it wont thin more than a 50 weight oil. For example a 0w30 oil will give you better performance as it has less weight and thins more so its more free flowing. I could be wrong but thats my understanding of oil

OK how many of you are on zclub mag. cover lol!
the fastest model of the zed ever built, and the one that gets the least amount of attention, I wonder why

whats the next step?
Unorthodox lightend pulleys will help you rev, less weight and drag for the engine to spin, also dumping the air con to loose the pump will give you less drag on the engine

Something else for Vinz

smokin gone
maybe coz turbo siezed now lol only kidding

Stalling/Not starting/Throttle not working!
Electrical switch cleaner would proberbly be better than WD40, WD40 could cause the connector to short, which has happened to me before.

Was looking at these but are expensive and where do you put the control box? To be honest i cant see the advantage of having memory gauges unless there is something im missing?

Design your own gauges
Found this site where you can design your own gauges to suit, not sure of the quality of the gauges though, maybe some of you have heard of this company? Here

high tickover
Sounds like the Air regulator to me. The air regulator raises the idle by letting more air into the intake when engine is warming up. And has a little shutter inside that closes and shuts off the air once its reached a certain tempreture, if its not shutting then your getting too much air going into the inlet, and your engine will idle too high, hence why its worse on cooler days when the air is more dense than on warmer days, engines work better in denser air. As when you get high idle when the shutter is stuck open, so you will get low uneven idle on warm up if the shutter is stuck closed. To check it is the air regulator, this is it and found at the back of the engine. Disconnect the connector and clean it up see if that makes any difference, first. If not squeeze the pipe that goes into the Idle Air Adjusting unit, (IACV side in pic) if the revs drop then too much air going in and the shutter stuck open, time to take apart and clean up.
