  1. And petrol? I know it sounds stupid but the first thing they taught us was to check for juice as you said it fired on easy start, so ignition side seems ok as your getting a spark. Check you have the fuel lines in the engine bay the correct way round. Can you hear the fuel pump when ignition is switched on?
  2. I like this, the Aurora
  3. I've been looking at the HID's but isnt as straight forward to fit them to a UK car it seems the dim-dip cct has to be removed.
  4. No comparison imo
  5. Resist the forces of the dark side. Public flogging will bring you to your senses
  6. It is possible to do the passanger side tub with the engine in, but its a real pita of a job and just as easy to take the engine out as its false economy to do just 1 turbo, and as i said before there is other preventative jobs you can do whilst the engine is out, plenum by-pass for a start its worth doing to prevent future water leaks from the pipe work at the rear of the engine.
  7. Very nice i must admit i've always liked the GS300 too it would be my choice of family car if i was to go for a family car :)
  8. Finally got a move date for next saturday, its only taken 7 poxy months :smash: Now all i have to do is get enough zeds to put up on bricks to fill the drive up with :wack:
  9. We went to her sisters birthday meal yesterday afternoon, her in doors goes in the shower so i said im gonna take car round courner and get it washed "Well dont be too long we gotta leave in an hour" Ok i said. Took me about half hour to get car washed, i was back home with half hour to spare, jumped in the shower ironed a T shirt and dressed ready to go before she had dried a poxy hair. I love it when im ready first as she always nags me to get ready and im always ready first, then i can say as usual i'm waiting for you lol
  10. Happy Birthday Nick, have a good day bud :duffer: :duffer:
  11. If you are low or have been low on coolant and got an air lock then yes it can as said before if it not reading coolant temp but the hot ait in the pipe
  12. def seized turbo. Engine out and whilst engine is out plenum bypass EGR removel and BIGGER tubs :D
  13. I put my name on the list of who wants it too lol. Not keen on the colour though i must addmit i dont think the paint work warrents the money, time and effort thats been put into the car, it lets it down a bit. But i could live with that the fun factor and the V8 rumble far outways the paint job :D Just wait untill shrimpy sees it
  14. You thinking of going in then? Just dont go into communications ffs. Seriously if you are good luck to ya. I went to join the RAF past all the entry exams but my Motor Mechanic apprenticeship came up so opted for that. But as i've got older i think i proberbly made the right choice as now i wish i had gone in the Navy and really regret it, now as its too late.
  15. Could be a mixture problem check for air or vacuum leaks, could be a small vacuum pipe off. Or.. Have you had to top the coolant up in the rad? As you could have an air lock which can cause idle fluctuations, as the pocket of air causes the ECU temp sensor to read air instead of coolant, so the ECU tries to control the air/fuel mixture which causes the idle to go up and down. An indication coolant could be low or there is an air lock, is the aux fan will cut in and out.
  16. Here you go 1 each side, you can take them out and clean them
  17. Blocked pcv valves will cause it to
  18. Lol up the revolution brother.
  19. If you going to get 1 get this one, you cant go wrong with this car its on ebay too and is a fellow members car (Gio) and the car is a TV star and far to cheap for the money :) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=953488&postcount=1
  20. My advise is dont buy a zed your not 100% sure of they can be expensive to get them the way you want, especially if your not sure about the body kit. Although you will proberbly find someone to buy it of you. Have a look through the cars for sale ads, Your proberbly better to buy 1 of this site as you can find out the history of the car. The description of the one advertised seems a little over streatched to me, the car wont make 450bhp with an induction kit dump valves and turbo timer, plus it says the bodywork needs attention and the clutch is slipping.
  21. That i wouldnt know, i'll see if she can get any more info from the financiel advisers where she works. But it wouldnt supprise me they dont like giving money away
  22. Anything from about 90 quid up i,ve seen em for, 90 quid being bargain basement though and not adviserble IMO
  23. As above and welcome
  24. She says if you hang on to them and the company gets bought up then the shares could go back up as they will then be shares for the company that bought Northern Rock, although the amount of shares you bought might not be the same but will still be worth the same amount. For eg if you bought 1oo Northern Rock shares they might only equate to 40 shares with the company that buys Northern Rock but they will still have the same value. All this is due to Northern Rock investing too heavily abroad.
  25. Sorry to hear that, thats shit luck bud but I did warn you all but no 1 listened :(
