  1. Bloody hell finally got you round to it, i remember recomending the 100nx for you last year, i think it is a good start once you've got a bit of no claims then you can graduate to the 200sx then the 300zx. I dont think its a bad car to start your driving career on at least its a nissan and they can be done up quite good

  3. I've been wondering how many there will be left in 10 years time, if any and how many of us will still own one? Maybe we will all be driving about in 99/2000 models if they rver let them over here?
  4. what makes you think it will fail on them?
  5. Have you got the under bonnet insulation still in place? Have a feel around that if you have might be something under it or is there any marks on it where something may have pressed against it.
  6. i've used diesel for flushing the engine before with no ill effects as diesel is an oil anyway, it was used all the time at the garage i worked at. Drained the oil leaving the old filter on, run it on tick over for 5 mins, drain it and use fresh diesel run for few more mins drain, replace oil filter, and away you go clean oil for months

  16. congratulations to you and your family, its always good when there is new arrivels in the club :duffer:
  17. ok try cleaning the ECU temp sender, it gets covered in green shit whichplays havoc with the ECU and timing as it thinks engine is cold and adjusts timing, fuel etc as if engine is cold
  18. i got the HKS super SQV too, they sound ok if im on half boost but just get a perthetic pf when on full boost, and they dont have the adjustment nut at the back like i've seen on some of them.

  21. Happy birthday Al, have a good 'un
  22. Have you got brake lights? If you havnt got any brake lights its proberbly the brake light switch not sure about the zed's auto box but some cars you cant get out of park if you have no brake lights or brake light switch faulty
  23. Fuel pressure regulator sticking especially at idle giving a rich reading. Faulty EGR valve not allowing some of the exhaust gasses back into the combustion chamber for a second burn so any un burnt fuel will pass strait out the exhaust that could give an over rich reading
  24. Man this is a shock to read, not been on much over the weekend and only just noticed this, i feel so guilty as i've been wrapped up in my own selfish problems which are ridicules compared to the loss of a fellow member and a genuinly nice guy too. My condolences to all his family, friends, and those who loved him. R.I.P Bud have a safe journey to a better place. God bless.
  25. stock gauge crap and unreliable we will all tell you the same thing chances are, if you have no tapping from the lifters or bearing rumble oil pressure is ok and its just the gauge reading wrong, mine does the same some times usually turn engine off re start it and it reads ok again
