  1. Thanks very much, that’s great.
  2. Just thought I’d there a link I can download or buy the factory service manual? thank you
  3. Thanks for the link I will have a read at that. It makes sense to get it done especially as I’m going to make the trip down to powerzed to get it done. ?
  4. My car has only done 76k miles so I would never have thought to do a 120k service. Thanks for the great advice.
  5. That’s amazing- but I guess rare. for peace of mind alone I will change it
  6. Well when you put it like that ? yeah I will definitely be getting it changed. thanks for advice. Appreciate it.
  7. Yeah I kinda new that would be the answer. thanks for the advice re 120k service. I’m compiling a list then plan on booking it into powerzed.
  8. Ok I have a feeling I already know what the answer is going to be on this BUT as always grateful for the knowledge of you guys. while lecturing my bro to change the belt on his Alfa GT I realised the Timing belt on my 91 twin turbo in mileage has done only about 16k mainly easy road miles with regular oil changes BUT in terms of age it was last changed 15 years ago. SO - is the belt still ok or needing changed just down to age? Thanks again for any advice.
  9. Mine is the same also
  10. I’m still amazed at the level of detail going into this build, when finished it’s definitely got to be up there with the best Z32s in the country!! I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing your posts when it’s finished! I have had my Z32 for 21 years but it’s always been rolling maintenance when required to keep on top of it - never anything like the level some of you guys are achieving. Well done ? ???
  11. I have a feeling I will add a few jobs too while I’m down. thanks again ?
  12. Sorry meant to ask was Jimmer able to source all the parts while he had the car in the workshop? cheers.
  13. Yeah I think I’m going to require the same as you - but as you say - worth it! ?
  14. Thanks Richard, that’s good to know. I have actually fancied a trip to Bath so perfect excuse. I will actually be driving to Dorset in July on a family holiday but unfortunately I don’t think I could load 4 of us and 2wks luggage into the 300 so will just need to plan another trip South, which is never a bad thing. Thanks for ballpark figures. I think I budget for the worst with mine and anything else is a bonus. cheers, Thomas
  15. I know it will vary from car to car depending on what is required but was just wondering if you can give me an idea of cost involved. Even ball park helps. thanks, Thomas
  16. I’m not the most mechanically minded so don't think he would want me working with him but I’m selling it to the wife as a good opportunity for us to ‘spend quality time together on a road trip and wee break together’. It’s amazing that another car expense can be glossed over by saying hotel in same sentence! ?
  17. I just checked, I’m 7 hours away but I’m thinking it’s worth it. I will give Powerzed a call and see if I can arrange to book it in later in summer. SO - any recommendations of things to see and do in Bristol ??
  18. I have heard so much about Jimmer I would love to take it there - I’m about 20 miles outside of Glasgow so it’s not really practical- unless I combined it with a holiday ?
  19. Perfect, thanks for this I will have a good read and then go find an aircon specialist about it. Thanks again ?
  20. Hi all, one of the big jobs I wanted to tackle this spring was at last to get the aircon upgraded to modern spec. I believe it currently runs R12? I was hoping a conversation was available to upgrade but the garage has told me there is nothing available to upgrade the system and had basically told me to forget about the aircon on it . ? Has anyone on here recently upgraded their aircon successfully and if so could you advise what was required? Thanks again for any advice, always much appreciated. Thomas
  21. Mine are on there way so will hopefully get them on when weather improves and be able to report back. ?
  22. Thank you. That’s the ones I was looking at. Full set now ordered ?
  23. So I’m wondering if many of you guys have used after market splash guards? I’m looking for opinions on what ones are good or not so good. If you have used them for a few years are they still in good shape or rotted away? thanks for any advice
  24. I have just spent a couple of hours reading your build story. Absolutely fascinating!! You have shown a level of obsession to obtain as close to perfection as possible that it makes me feel like I’m actually quite ‘normal’ after all ? I look after 300 but this is next level! Or possibly next again level! ? good luck with the rest of the build - I will be continuing to follow .
