  1. You are right the vg30dett does need to be balanced but the turbos feed the opposite bank to the side they are on, so they have slight self balancing affect.
  2. I should imagine any silicon based lubricant would be preferable ;)
  3. Just a thought, but lots of import cars come with uprated diffs already and the owners think the diff is knacked when in fact it is the normal whirrings and clunking of an uprated one?
  4. Some little extras for anyone reading this, try to buy new petrol O rings from nissan, and oil based lubricant rots rubber.
  5. Does anyone know if it does anything else apart from remove the bell wire?
  6. Can anyone say if this device removes the ring wire from the socket or is that something else we can do to speed up connection?
  7. Ok I have reluctantly bought some of this snake oil and reluctantly installed it and reluctantly have to say Paul is right :D. Testing straight away there is a 1MB improvement lets see if it gets any better!!!!
  8. They move the central pulley up meaning that the cam timing could be thrown out.
  9. Don't the lower plenum gaskets alter the cambelt timing because they are thicker?
  10. Still waiting for my invite to come over and have a look neighbour :), Jaffa is only down the road as well, I am sure he would like to peruse your mods??
  11. Please explain some more:drool:
  12. I have small plug in filter on my secondary socket!
  13. Ok I'll rephrase that, I have a wired and not wireless router, and it is not plugged into the master socket. Or are you saying buying the above gizmo and plugging it into the master socket, not only upgrades that socket but all the secondary sockets as well?
  14. Whats that smoke coming out of the back of it, has his head gasket blown :D
  15. Hows the work on the staff cars going???? :D Where I plug the router in, looks like it isn't the master socket, so it may be a non starter :(
  16. Are they tricky to fit ????
  17. He has done some top stuff, hope all the best for him in the future!
  18. As if by Magic! http://www2.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=109979&highlight=parts
  19. Funky will you please put up a picture of yourself? :D
  20. It may be worth investigating the same parts used by different models, i.e. I believe the det sensor is the same for a lot of nissans of our era yet the prices differ for different models!
  21. I would agree with Legrath, I am not sure if I am reading it right but you said you would boost test the car at 18psi, only go to 4ish psi or you will blow seals on the engine!
  22. Here is the old dyno list, it looks like a lot of posts on it have been deleted, which is a shame! http://www2.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=113513&highlight=dyno
  23. It has been a while since I have delved into that region of the car, but the windscreen washer bottle lives down there.
