  1. Hi Steve, How ya doing? Still got the zed?
  2. Personally I would not recommend going too far overboring, I think it throws the engine out of spec too much, for reliability issues!

John wasn't referring to your post old chap, just letting people know that the lsd will only work properly when your use the correct viscosity oil with it :)
  4. Cheers Paul, Martyn and I were chuffed with the texts you sent, the mechanicals of your zed are totally spot on now! Guys we have some nice big BHP rebuilds coming up but we are still waiting for the big one, Martyn is itching to show off his race car engine building skills to full effect!

I only recommend redline mt90 for the gearbox, it is a proven oil that helps the synchro problem on the zed, oilman's box oil is an unknown quantity as of yet! With the diff you have to be careful and get exactly the same viscosity as the OEM oil, as the LSD works only when the viscosity of the oil is correct!
  6. Sound like the AIV's need clearing out! :D Sorry pleased for ya really :)
  7. I think it was roughly 1996 that NA cars changed to TT calipers and discs.
  8. You could do a complete bodge and get one of those inside outside digital temp monitors and adapt it :)
  9. The one prescribed for most zeds is PC2-13-4, I don't know if it is cos mine is a convertible with two front speakers but it don't work, anyone had success with any other leads?
  10. Not too worry have sorted an autobox that can handle 700bhp and 10 sec quarters!
  11. Its amazing! One Zed garage goes on here and says buy oem Nissan Plats Another Zed Garage does the same A head mechanic for Merc says the same The whole TT.net says the same I notice a trend here!
  12. I would use Leigh in the traders section, he is a top fella and will not rip you off!
  13. Not really they were crap in my Ca18DET as well!
  14. Have only heard of problems with irridiums avoid them!
  15. It is a right PITA to use and yes their search facility is awful!
  16. Hi Jack, It doesn't operate like a choke and would not really cause high fuel usage, although it is always good to have these items running within spec. To be honest vaio I would do a plug and oil change first and test the fuel pressure.
  17. Sorry mate can you clarify what you mean, you are typing like I do with a bad hangover :) The hissing noise is normal when you undo the fuel cap the fuel tank is pressurised, and the car can still run well with a dodgy fpr!
  18. Depending on it's service history, a plug and oil change wouldn't go amiss, also maybe check the fuel pressure with a gauge to see if the FPR is still within spec?
  19. When was the last time you had it serviced?
  20. Thanks for all the offers guys, I'm touched  will give you a shout, when I think I know what I want
