Thanks to all the guys for making me and Jen so welcome at the NEC. It was a pleasure to show our ZX - for us this was especially noteworthy as we saw the release of the 300ZX back in 1990 at the NEC - it was love at first sight! So it's ironic and nostalgic to be back at NEC 34 years later showing a ZX! Well done everyone. Great show. Hope to do it again next year.

Geoff lived local to us, met him once at a dinner party. He kept budgerigars as a hobby. A nice guy.

Hi Richard, Not sure if you have got sorted for a 4th car yet? I'd be happy to help out with a my ZX - but it's another red though! However would not be able to stay around as I'm teaching on the Friday. Would be back for the Saturday/Sunday. Let me know. Either way Jen and I will come to help on the Saturday. Best wishes Jason

Yep I’ll be there - if you have never been to Super Car Fest then it’s not like any other show I’ve been to - not only is it a feast of the eyes and senses, but the Sywell runway is open for a blast; I had this idea of seeing a load of 300ZX in the paddock lined up for the Runway - it’s a great way to promote the club as well - anyhow have a browse of the video from last year.

Nissan 300ZX Owners Club Event Supercar Fest is quite literally a feast for the senses - raw power and beauty everywhere. This is the 4th year and the event is fast becoming a "must go" show. Thanks everyone for a most enjoyable day at Beaulieu. Nice to see some ladies there as well! Our Fairlady overheated homebound at Kettering. Leaking/split coolant pipe. Managed after a few miles of walking to find a filling station. Three police cars passed me walking on the verge, no-one stopped! Anyhow eventually got the ZX rad refilled, managed to wedged some cloth between pipes to help seal the split, got her running and not overheating and made it home. Will invest in new silicone pipes this week!

Got the Zed sorted, was the universal joint seized, picked her up yesterday from Jimmer. So see you Sunday. Sorry to hear about some of the other member car issues.

Thanks Guys - appreciate the encouragement. The Nissan technician was probably in his late 40's early 50's and reminisced a bit on the ZX engine and how his friend upgraded one to 600 bhp. But he was perplexed on what might have caused the outer steering shaft to fail. Our Fairlady should have gone straight to Jimmer today, but the recovery have her in storage until Friday after which she will finally arrive at PowerZed. I'm sure Jimmer will have her fixed in no time. Hopefully in time for me to pick her up next week, and then attend the AGM - and without any further breakdowns! We shall see. Only had her back from Jimmer a few weeks! No reflection on his superior workmanship - she's just old or maybe it's my youthful driving - lots of long straights in Lincolnshire.
