  1. Hopefully so! It would be nice to meet everyone and see some other 300s!
  2. Thanks Richard! It was there when you dropped yours off. I think you left and then I arrived a few minutes later - so I just missed you. Lovely colour on yours, the paint was immaculate! Thanks Bones!
  3. Hi Dimitry, that is a mean looking Z! Perhaps a random question, but is the bonnet vented? If so, how do you keep the rain/ water from going all over the engine?
  4. Thanks! Yes, there is another little project going on too ? Yours is also looking good too. Looking forward to the thread, Agreed. I've seen the silver one documented and noticed that I don't have the correct side mirrors, Thanks Art! The HICAS is still operational. If you mean the gap on the lower left of the engine bay, there was a change from hydraulic to electric in 1994(?) which removed that part. The clutch has been changed - possibly an OS Giken one is installed, Thanks! Everyone seems like a nice bunch! Thanks Gaz! I can fully understand why the bodykits have kinda disappeared, but it's the overall condition that drew me to this one, Thanks Andrew! That would be very kind of you! I'm intrigued at what will appear,
  5. Hi 300ZXers! I became the owner of a 1995 Nissan 300ZX in December 2019 and joined the club in October 2020 - but haven't posted anything. After lurking around, everyone seems really nice and friendly, willing to offer advice and knowledge! So, I figured it was about time I said hello and share the 300. I've always liked the 300 and in the sea of 90s JDMs such as: Supras, Skylines and RX-7s, the Z was just underrated and looked like something else. I had been on the look out for a while and enquired about a few, but they just didn't seem right, so I held off until I found one that 'clicked'. The One I Ended Up With It's a 1995 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo, 5-Speed Manual with Targa Tops in Pearl White. However, it also has a full Veilside C-I bodykit: Front Bumper, Side Skirts, Rear Valance, Spoiler, Evolution Exhaust and Andrew Racing V Alloys. To be brutally honest, I'm still not sold on the body kit. I think the front bumper is a bit weird and so is the spoiler. The Veilside kit also seems to come across as dated and a bit ostentatious. But, according to the previous owner, this was a Veilside demo car when it was in Japan. The kit is genuine and with less than 43,000km when it was imported in 2010, the car hasn't really been driven. In person, you can kind of see this has been trailered to shows / expos instead of being driven - or it was just garaged and never driven! Although, I haven't been able to confirm this. There's also a few other 'extras' on the car: K-Sport 356mm Front Brakes, Recaro SR3 Seats, GReddy Turbo Timer, GReddy Boost Gauge, GReddy Oil Temperature Gauge, Rear Parking Sensors (these are really helpful!) and a super heavy clutch (not a fan of this one!) Also some Altia goodies: Illuminated Sills, Illuminated Rear Quarter Windows and an Illuminated Rear Centre Panel. Upon inspections, both personally and at garages, the car is deemed to be immaculate underneath and well-looked after. This is what drew me to this specific car, it's been cared for. First Steps After purchasing the car, the first thing I did was get it inspected to see what's going on where I can't see. It's low and the engine is a tad cramped! It came back in really good condition. As the previous owner barely drove it, next up was as basic service. 1st Big Step I spent quite a bit of time researching the Z32 and made a checklist of what to look for when buying one and it's imperative for the 120K Service. With limited paperwork, this was top priority and I could only send it to one place - PowerZed. At the same time, there was an intermittent stalling issue which Jimmer diagnosed in less than 5minutes. After meeting Jimmer and chatting for a bit, I knew the car was is good hands. 2nd Step After a Summer of not really doing much, I thought some more power could come from the engine. After doing a bit of research and his led to a second trip back to PowerZed. Jimmer worked his magic and with the addition of a Greddy OLED and few other bits, there's definitely more power! This concluded with new tyres all around as the old ones were from 2008, but still had 6mm+ tread. Current Stage Hopefully, the car can get driven a bit more later in the year, but I don't have any intentions of changing it any further. The power is there and it looks 'different' - some like it, some don't. I won't be removing or changing the kit, if it was a Veilside demo, it can stay a Veilside demo - it's part of it's history. As the previous owners kept such good care of it, I want to do the same and make sure it stays as good as I can keep it. I'm looking forward to chatting with you all and hopefully meeting you at some point in the future! Now for some pics:
