  1. Thanks for the lightning response , Legrath  Google had better watch out ! :duffer: Brian
  2. My Jap TT has had the right connections fitted , but my ( Goodmans ) cage won`t go in the hole--I`ve scratched the corners to fook . Does the panel have to come out of the dash , or should I just put the ( cage-less ) head unit in the hole and hope it doesn`t fall in under heavy braking ? :headvswal LOL
  3. Cheers Gaz , I appreciate the thought , mate .
  4. Can`t post a pic , no cam . Well , I`ve got a webcam but couldn`t get the car in the flat ( Too much furniture ) ;)
  5. At the Ztech Clinic last Saturday , I was telling one of the guys about how some people park in London : I`d actually watched a guy squeeze an estate car into a space by pressing his rear bumper against my front one the day before : coupla little marks..very annoying . On Sunday , I parked in a fairly small space with a Modern Mini in front of me...on Monday morning , Mini had gone and a BMW 3 Series driver had managed to squeeze in the space , leaving me about 2 inches gap at the front...then I noticed that my nose panel had a nasty scrape on it , about 35 cm long and 10 cm deep . Judging by the height and shape , it wasn`t from the Beemer , someone else must have tried to get into this wee space with , I guess , a b*stard 4WD ( Chelsea Tractor they`re called in my Borough ) . Fookers had virtually climbed the front of the car without even realising , or , WORSE , not caring ! Coupla yellow bits showing through the grey bumper as well . Infuriating...on my insurance , with no protection on my NCB , I have an excess charge of £500 FFS , so that`s out . The scrape consists of loads of tiny scratches...tried T-Cut , didn`t work . Had the car six weeks to the day this happened ..unmarked `till now :headvswal , Ruins the look of the front IMO Any advice on how to fettle would be greatly appreciated  I post this in all deference to Hellraiser Gaz , whose anger and frustration must pale mine into insignificance .

  13. At the risk of looking stupid , is there any chance of the powers that be putting up a list of what all the abbreviations that are used in the posts mean , for the uninitiated ? I mean the likes of nos , cas etc...some I can figure out , but the others mean nothing , unless I do a long and boring search through all the posts , which is a bit of a pain . A simple list of abbreviations and their meanings would be most helpful for the technically challenged amongst us  Just a thought , and if there is one already ...."Must pay more attention "
  14. " also is there any famous people with zeds " Well , I`VE got one !!   ( A legend in my own mind ! ) LOL    :duffer:

  16. Thanks ,Mark...no Halfrauds near me , but before reading your sound advice , I have opened a new account on eBay ( Last year , they gave me an account already in use by an American who was barred ! After months of trying to get it sorted , I gave up . :headvswal Thought I`d try again with new username etc on the off-chance , and it worked . ) So I`ve gambled on ordering a set meant for Nissan + Mazda in the same size as White-zed`s . Either way I won`t lose much dosh  Thanks again , guys . :duffer:
  17. Thanks White Zed :duffer:

  20. Religion has always been divisive even though it proved useful to control the masses . Over the centuries , the intelligentia , and even the rulers who were atheists , were afraid to admit their atheistic views : for the intelligentia it could lead to torture and death in the name of " God " ( and here we`re talking about Christianity ) . For Rulers , it might run the risk of the rabble losing their fear of God , and becoming uncontrollable . " Control " is what religion has always been about , and for it to continue in the face of contradictory scientific discoveries ie Darwinism , it needs continuous indoctrination of children too young to resist ( believe me , I had it all...nuns , Christian B@stard Brothers of Ireland lol ) . The worst form of all is Fundamentalism , which seeks to take us back centuries to beliefs formed by ignorant people , mostly in desert lands , to try and explain the mysteries of life . This backward-looking , erm , stupidity offers no peaceful resolution to inter-faith differences...and I include in this the " Powers-behind-the-throne " Christian Fundamentalists for whom George W Bush is the muppet , sorry , puppet . Islamic Fundamentalists ( `mentalists for short ) are bad enough , but the heart sinks realising that there are millions of thick `mentalist Christians in AmArica who back the God-bothering Bush regime...and he ain`t the sharpest knife in the tool-box . Who`s pulling his strings ? Sorry to offend any Believers ( Mind you , when did you ever have an atheist knocking on your doors telling you it`s all in vain ? ) Just a point of view Mind how you go :duffer:
