  1. I had a wrranty on my Z with Warranty Holdings that I have just let lapse although they offered to renew it. The problem is that with an old car, most failures are put down to fair wear and tear. This is not covered. Most policies ony cover mechanical breakdown. When for example my auto box failed totally. There were no broken gears, just belts, clutches etc, which were not covered, so I had to pay for the repair myself. So take care. Even if you get a warranty it is not full guaranty cover.

    Z Club of Great Britain.
  3. See full details in the For Sale Section.
  4. I have been using the new red stuff pads for the last three months and they are fine from cold. Possibly some people are still selling the old ones.
  5. Just seen the new Z at Courtesy Nissan. It looks 10 times better in the flesh and is a real stunner, both inside and out. The salesman did not know much about the car and would not even give me brochure. I think that they may have a specialist sales team. The guys on the accessories side are Z enthusiats so that was quite refreshing.
  6. I used Chips Away who were great and reasonably priced. they are on the web or you can get to them through the RAC web site.
  7. Thanks fellas. I will continue to change the oil as before and certainly will also change it more often than specified in the new car, but at least I have a bit more info than I had before which was the old adage that it is cheaper to change the oil than the turbos and engine. Anyway at just over £20 at Costco Mobil 1 still won't break the bank.
  8. I have had 4 Zs and change the oil and every 3000 miles using Mobil 1 Fully synthetic. I have just bought a 3 litre Peugeot 605 coupe (Its not that bad it does have four pot Brembos and I still have a Z) Anyway back to the question. The Peugeot uses synthetic or semi-synthetic oil and the manufacturers recommended service interval is to change it every 20,000 miles. (The oil, not the car) I know that the Z is an older car, but if oil has improved that much, are we wasting money by changing the oil in our Zs so often?
  9. I use Richard at R&D Autos to look after my Zs he has always been very good and reasonably priced. He is in Harrow 020 8427-8890.
  10. Don@t forget the shipping to the UK and also duty/VAT

The US versions came with a digital dash. I do not think that they were available in the UK. Anyway I think That they always went wrong. Great cars though. I had three of the later ones. They had cured most of the rust problems when they got to the facelift version. They are a good entry point into Zs as they are cheap to maintain, buy and insure (on a classic policy)
  12. Again FAQs would be useful.
  13. We need a FAQ section for problems like this which come up regularly.
  14. Have a look at the Pioneer TSWX205A. It is a rectangular shape bass tube with a 10" unit and a built in amp. Is is strapped in so that you can take it out if you need more space and it Kicks. I paid £124 for mine.
  15. E Bay were mentioned on Watchdog last night where some people had lost big amounts of money due to some type of fraud. I think they only cover transactions up to about £100. The police and Watchdog had problems getting in touch with E Bay as they did not allow phone contact and did not answer all of their e-mails
  16. Keep the car and change the wife!
  17. Try this site! http://www.gtgrafix.co.uk/index%20pages/INDEX_8.HTM

  19. Can you still receive them or do you have to sell anything that you are given at a car boot sale and hand the money in?
  20. Try Toyo Proxies. I think that they are great and they always get good reports on our site. The 225.50.16 are available on the web for about £75 delivered
  21. I paid about £100 each for my Michelin sports for the front. They sell Mobil 1 oil.
  22. I know that Mike Feeney sells these and I thought that they were about £100. Try him 01277-374201
  23. Why buy a t-top and not use it. Get em off!
  24. They also do good prices on tyres and only charge £1 for valve, fitting and balancing.
  25. A few years ago I had a flat battery in my company 7 series BMW. I was in an industrial estate in the middle of nowhwere. A guy in a clapped out Cortina jump started me and said that I had made his month.
