  1. All I can say is if you have the underdrive pulley, get a lightwwight flywheel next time you're changing the clutch. Their combined effect is amazing, my Z has never pulled this strongly before
  2. Deffo, one you hit around 3000 - 3500 rpm it sounds really snarly! :hyper:
  3. Nice one Stu - about bleedin' time too!
  4. Looks like it's coming along very nicely m8. Although I'm not too sure on that colour scheme in pic 3  Is it still a big secret on what the final colour will be? Dave
  5. Also bear in mind that many wheels available in magazines won't go near a Z. You'll have a hard time finding rims with the correct offset in order to clear the front brake calipers. Dave
  6. Nigel, I had the ACT "street clutch" - it lasted me about 40k miles. I switched because the pedal action was really heavy, plus I snapped 2 clutch pivot pins in the space of 366 days  However, when Phil installed my new parts, he told me that the current pivot pin had never been "copper greased"; no wonder the pedal action was so heavy and the pins kept snapping - it was metal rubbing against metal with no lubrication. So much for going to a Nissan dealer!!!! Anyway, I suppose my heavy pedal action cannot soley be contributed to the ACT clutch itself. It may be worth asking on TT.Net for some answers. Good luck mate, Dave
  7. Yeah Stu, I went for the RPS one:- It's made a difference, the engine revs a lot more freely now :hyper: Dave
  8. Yeah, thats the Bomex UAD-188, I was quite keen to get this one myself, until I decided to go for the Stillen. Dave
  9. First of all, a big big thanks to PhilZ (or should it now be Phil911!) at C & S Wood for installing my RPS MAX clutch and RPS segmented flywheel, at very short notice. He mentioned that I got my money's worth from my old ACT clutch; I think the picture speaks for itself:- The plate was down to the bare metal, no wonder it was slipping so badly! You can even see on the old flywheel (left of pic) where the rivets on the clutch plate had been scoring a groove on its surface. It's great to have the Z back again :hyper: Dave
  10. Ahhh Bravenet, those were the days. Yeah I remember there was Nico, Shorty, Hairsy, Bilky, Bob, Rodders, Craig and amongst others. You're all spoilt rotten with this forum, we never had fancy stuff like PM's and rides sections. It was just the one forum and some pics of our first meet in Nottingham, taken with Nico's Kodak brownie. You had to drive your Z careful in those days, trams and horse & carts were everywhere. And everything was in black & white too!
  11. BazzaJG told me he had got some great bulbs from Demon Tweeks I think. Hopefully he'll spot this thread and give us more details. Dave
  12. Check your tyre pressures too - low pressure can often cause this. Dave
  13. He certainly did, another top job from the top man
  14. Here's a couple I took, unfortunately, my rides section is full, so I can only put a couple of pics up:- A beautiful example of a Z  :P Bazza JG & Scoops Graham & Tony C
  15. Nice one Stu, good to see everyone again. Can't wait for the next meet, hopefully you and Kirbz will have your zeds running by then :hyper:
  16. Do you have a silver 350Z? I've just seen one near the roundabout for the M57 in Kirkby? Dave
  17. I'll be there - in my Zed Dave
  18. Could be a good idea m8 :duffer:
  19. Plastic glasses are issued for anyone taking drinks outside.
  20. Yeah it's a nice pub, I used to go there quite a lot. Food is nice and they have Stella & Kronenbourg 1664 on draught :P
  21. Looks great Stu - it also reminds me of my favourite "Quality Street" - :hyper:
  22. Just got in from work. Can't be arsed as I'm knackered. Dave
