I'm having my engine rebuilt in the new year and was just going through the ride section and see that Smithy has got 'N/A oil squirters' fitted.

I'm guessing that the twin turbo has these already and that they squirt oil onto the piston somehow, is that correct? If so what is the advantages of fitting the N/A squirters?

I'm going for forged pistons in my rebuild would it be worth getting these as well?

Thanks.

primary function of oil squirters is to cool the underside of the piston ..lubrication is only secondary and a nice side effect, so with forged pistons it isnt really going to be an issue , however it does help reduce piston temp and therefore possible det, NA squirters have a more direct "squirt" patern , i considred this mod but decided that the TT squirters are suffuicient for my needs as im not going for stupid "break the gearbox eventually power " just a nice road user 450 bhp
