Or where I could get one from?

Hi Guys

New to this forum although I've had my ZX for about 6 years now!! Bit slow on the uptake me

Mine is a track day only car and having just built a new engine for the car, well Peter Rosenberg formally of SE Nissan built it actually, I'm after a Techtom MDM-100N (i think) to help us map it properly.

I know a lot of people had them back in the day but they are a bit old hat now. However, it would do exactly what I want so I'm trying to locate one.

This is the unit but they no longer sell them

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

How will a Techtom help in the mapping ? It doesn't tell you a great deal.

for mapping? Its not going to be of much use, you need at least wideband o2 sensor to help with mapping, and techtom does'nt tell you anything or relevance there.

If you still want something like Techtom then you can get the same and much more info than the Techtom using a Laptop and a copy of Conzult or Datascan.

Yeah I've had my eye on ebay but no joy so far!

Ok, it's not strictly for the mapping, it's just that what it does allow us to monitor, we can't at the moment and want too, therefore it will it help!

I have one and it's wired in permanently - it is useful for keeping an accurate eye one a few things, but the Datascan or ConZult dashboard would be much more useful, especially if it would be run on a PDA, or car pc.

Yeah I was going to have it wired in permanently too.

Will check out the infometer but I was just told by the guys who built the engine and car that a techtom would a cheap and easy way of achieving what we wanted to do, if i could fine of course ;o)
