Ever since i fitted the rps max clutch im having this strange problem.

Once the car is warm and has been driven for a while the biting point raises by about 2 inches. Once the car has cooled down again the biting point is back to the bottom?

Now ive fitted the group buy braided clutch line and bled the system. No problem!!

I noticed that the slave cylinder is leaking very slightly would this contribute to the problem?

Just seems a bit strange as to why the biting point would rise so much after its warm?

p.s im using dot 5.1 maybe this is the prob???......:(

Anyone ever had this problem b4?

Have you adjusted the pedal at all? mine was biting right off the floor before adjustment, now it about inch, inch n half off the floor and perfect...

Yes :)

Leaking slave cylinder will push out fluid which is replaced by air.

You gotta get that sorted before it fails and takes the master with it.

Right ive just bought a new slave from snoopy, lucky he had one lying around :D Il fit it with my one piece prop when it arrives.

So any opinions on the dot 5.1 im using for the clutch?

Lisa ive adjusted the pedal a number of times thats fine, the problem is the clutch biting point raises after its been driven ;) if i adjust it once its warm it will bite way too low once its cold again.

Hi, sounds like classic air getting into the system, as the cylinder leaks air gets in and because the cylinder heats up as you drive the previous tiny volume of air expands and changes the biting point when warm. When it cools the air contracts again and the biting point goes back to what it was before.

Also make sure your fluid reservoir is filled right to the brim, if there's any air under the cap then this expands and pushes the fuild out of the reservoir when warm.

Watch your booster too, replaced all my clutch line and cylinders, ended up pushing it over the edge, hissing like a cobra it was! i now have a very strong left foot.
