Since the car was resprayed, I am now the proud owner of a swimming pool in the passenger footwell... Not only that I have water collecting in the tim where the spoiler is bolted to the car....

The body shop have ceased trading...probably because they are crap and do a p155 poor job....

anyway... Can anyone point me in the direction of new rubbers...door, targa, etc.... basically I think I'm gonna replace all of them.

Thanks Chaps and Chapesses.

Regards

Paul

targa seals....went to nissan last week £150 a side:(:(

have you tried bodging it with sealer?

Haven't tried a sealer as it appears to be a mine field as to what is best. Any suggestions greatly appreciated or I'm just gonna bit the bullet and get it done by Nissan.

mine leaked alot after i was fiddling with it - used vasoline on the tops of all the targa seals never leaked since!

yes mate that is what i use on mine for a quick fix but have been told that it is petroleum based and will bugger the seals.:o

Wurth do a rubber lubricant, this can help the seals locate with the roof panels, also helps if the car is parked on level ground. Mine leaks if it is nose down, the water drips from the "sunvisor" or seat sprinkler as it is known locally.

there was a thread re Captain tolley's sealant- apparantly good for marine applications- does it work & ifso, where is best place to put it to stop a leak on edge of targa/top of driver door glass??

  • 4 weeks later...

use peanut oil on them, Thats what i've been told.

I could find any so I used mixed nut. Aint leaked this winter (yet:))

IIRC when i got a pair of seals from luke Borg two years ago they came to £90 a pair. The first ones you want to change are where the targas meet the door glass.
