Started the car today, it was very cold and wet, went to put my foot down to pull off and the revs dropped, nearly stalled it, put it in neutral, reved a little and the same thing happened, when it had warmed up it was fine, what could be the cause of this?

is it something to do with water/condensation in the MAF, think it makes the car hesitate i little.

I hope so, hope its nothing seriouse.

mine was doing it, somebody suggested it was either a faulty PTU which costs about 20 quid for a new one (second hand) or if i was keeping it outside it could be water getting in the MAF, it turned out to be the PTU but i know how you feel, the car feels as though its going to stall at every junction you come to, so annoying.

Cheers mate, may be the ptu as its a series 1 which are prone to be dodgy, where could I find one?

swz in the traders section have em i think, and sometimes have s2 ones that are suppost to be much better but more expensive, good luck with it mate
