Was just wondering, are snoopers illegal?

 

Using it to give me my speed in mph as my clocks arent change from km/h, and it also informs me of speed cameras?

Does ur speedo just show kph

 

As far as i know it's not illegel to have a snooper or road angel fitted to your car and on the speed front i think the law simply states u must have speed registered in mph

 

so that could be just mph , mph and kph etc (not 100% sure on this )

 

but sure someone will correct me if im wrong

Well i have a snooper and quite honestly i could'nt give a fook whether its legal or not, lol. However i believe they are legal now.

My Import ZX only has kph showing and has never failed an MOT for that and it's never been raised as an issue either so I would suspect that it's not a requirement to have mph as well.........

Pretty sure you are correct Phil :)The MOTer has the option to record your mileage as kilometers to, i know as i have had that with a few cars in the past :)

Thanks for conf as Wasnt sure but it was my neighbour that mentioned it to me she's not long bought a honda crx with just kph ,and reckons she was advised by a copper to get it changed

I just got them delivered on wednesday there. If its a dry day tomorrow i will be getting them on the car, they are direct replacment ones i got. I got direct replacements ones. I mind you saying you got yours from the USA, is it the xO2 racing ones you got? Looking forward to hearing the swoooshhhhhhhhhh.lol. Will put a post on and let yi know how i get one with them.

Yes they are totally legal to use at the moment, but there is talk of making the redar detector type illegal again.
