Hello all! Im going to decat my zed at some point this week I tried last week but the bolts from the manifold downpipe that connects to the cats just snap! So got to drill them out and replace. Can anyone tell me what size these bolts are? and which type I need to get?

Drilling them out is a real pain in the ass, it took me 3 hours and 10 drill bits later to get 2 bolts out. I cant remember exactly the size but they are the same as the bolts that join the decats to the middle section.

When you drill the old stud out, you will need to re tap the thread, which is near impossible with the manifolds in situe. I found that drilling the hole slightly bigger than the stud, you can use the nut and bolt to secure the down pipe. NB mine was on an N/A you may have more room to tap out a thread on a TT.

Hello mate! I nearly drilled one out last week with a cordless drill and seemed reasonably easy until the batt died! Im going to put nuts and bolt in as it will be alot easier! seem to have a good amount of room under there so fingers crossed I will have them on in a few hours??? and hopefully no smoke!! thanks for the advice again mate!!
